It's sound possible for me. I think people arround you didn't focus on the right thing. They should pay more attention on your lifestyle, how you interact with your peers, not your intelligence. It seems that they didn't exactly know asperger so they didn't see the difference between "awkwardness" a...

Diagnosing children and adults are quite different things. If your doctor have no experience in diagnosing adults it is very possible that he/she well make wrong conclusion. I believe that some traits are more obvious in children. For example, when I was about 15, I forced myself to make eye-contact...

I think the opposite mechanism makes more sense - if your interests are narrow, it will be much more difficult to find a common interest with other people perhaps everybody has "narrow interests" but in NTs this is hidden because they spend much time socializing Many NT's have something they are in...

Do anyone ever notice that there are lots of NTs have special interests? We had known that aspeis tend to spend amount of time and concentration on their special interests, but recently I found that NTs also have it. For example, I love to watch Discovery cannel and animal planet, there are lo...

I know how you felt, I have experienced almost every detail you described. You will always know much more about yourself than anyone else, because no therapist will take insight into your daily life, experiencing how the symptoms effect you. They wouldn't see your awkwardness while you interacting w...

People that have don't know how to socialize properly, to the point of appearing weird or lash out are more likely to be diagnosed. To be diagnosed with AS you should have some difficulty in your life, and not just feeling awkward. You said you have intense interests. Are they all you think about a...

CaptainTrips222 I suspect that some aspeis look quite normal and already learned how to avoid troubles. I don't want to be labeled only as personality disorder or depression because doctors will just prescribe me some pills and ask me to make more friends and attempt more activities. FluffyDog Most...

Is it possible that have AS but looks normal? I went to several therapies before, they thought that I was just came through depression, not have AS. They said that most people with Asperger syndrome always make troubles or been bullied by peers. In their opinions, AS is easy to identify by the patie...

I talk about music a lot and I try not to because I know that no one really cares I'm a great listener because I am really good at pretending to care. I easily become obsessed about things, I'm just awkward in social situations. I really don't like interacting with people my age or any age at all I...

That's surprising. I thought most aspies were diagnosed during their childhood!! ! That is becoming the case today. However, when I was growing up in the '70s, little was known about these matters and people thought much differently about conformity and diversity in general. The debut of the term "...

I think he's (Rafa) a left hander. Yeah he's not as 'elegant' as Rog, but it gets boring when the same people stay at the top for too long, like Pete Sampras. You just like to see someone new. Federer is a utter king. I hope that he could win his 14th grand slam even more, but Rafa won't let Roger ...

I'd like to share my music with someone. But the problem is
there are few of them have interest in my collections.

By the way, sometimes I don't want to share my music because
I don't want to let anyone know my collection. It makes me
feel like some one intend to steal them from me...
