I would vacuum and do the best job possible. Of course I would need sound protection. There is nothing wrong with vacuuming. Some people strive for a career to challenge their minds but that kind of position comes with office politics. Some people live for work and others work to live. I'm the later... |

Ironic, isn't it? When you're unemployed and not on disability, you're assumed to be able to get work on your own--just capable enough not to need help. Then when you get on disability, they start thinking, "Hey, wait a minute... maybe this person actually needs some help if he's going to get work.... |

I will start getting SSDI (US, Social Security Disability Insurance) payments next month. The process took over 2 years. I tried to file my disability claim myself, on-line, at the SSA.gov site, but process was too stressful. Thought I could do it all without any human interaction - wrong. Among oth... |

I hate going to the dentist but force myself to go. Used to wait years between visits. Have let 3 teeth abscess to the point of having rubbery roots and having infection in my sinuses and on one optic nerve. Am able to deal with a lot of pain and didn't know that my teeth were that bad. Now I'm miss... |

Diagnosed Aspie female here with ADHD and possibly Aspie husband. We have been married for over 30 years. When we moved in together I didn't know to leave a note when I was not going to be home. I say the wrong word at least once a day, sometimes much more. I forget words. I find it almost impossible to remember names. Add that to the pauses while talking and my voice fading off and I understand why my husband finds it hard to have a conversation with me. When I'm dehydrated, hungry, stress... |

Thanks KathySilverstein, I was very concerned about becoming addicted to Ativan but those worries are not relevant any longer. My husband's insurance forces us to use a certain medical group. The last time I posted we had a resident Dr. as our primary care physician but he finished his residency the... |

Depression + anxiety sounds like how I feel when I stop taking Lorazepam/Ativan. Aargh, cleaning house. I hoard and save stuff and we are living in an apartment that is 1/2 the size of our last home, and I don't have the extra garage storage, attic, storage sheds, etc. I'm overflowing in stuff. I al... |

I have had anxiety attacks my entire life. Tried some anti-depressants and had horrible results. Several few years ago my dentist prescribed Lorazepam (Ativan) because of my intense anxiety during dental visits. I would put off dentist work for years until I had abscessed teeth or worse. The Lorazep... |

I used to love talking on the phone as a teenager but now I'm old and I hate talking or answering the phone. The past 6 years I have averaged 2 calls a month and I try to keep those short. I only have a cell and I have the feeling that I sound loud or crappy when I talk on it. It just doesn't feel l... |

I have this need to always be prepared so I usually carry a backpack or a messenger bag. There are many things I feel compelled to have with me. In the past I've left purses hanging on chairs, tucked under tables, etc. so now I use something huge that is much harder to misplace. I ride public transp... |

Good luck, Maddycakes, It's good that you have a teacher who cares enough to check in with you - to ask how you are doing - but if you are like me, by the time someone notices that I'm having trouble I have become overstimulated or anxious and it is very difficult for me to talk coherently and espec... |

If you miss having breasts and hate prosthetic ones, I did see a knitting pattern that a breast cancer survivor designed for a more comfortable substitute than a prosthesis. It is so good at mimicking what an actual breast looked like that one of her friends thought the knitted one was the natural ... |

Can't stand hair touching my forehead or cheeks. Have had long hair all of my life from shoulder length to the back of my knees except for one pixie cut that my mother forced on me as a child. Went from hair below the waist to above my ears. I totally freaked out. I wore high pony tail style, double... |
