Why not get married in Japan then? Your reason of being an ex-pat sounds reasonable and sensible and I for one would readily believe the absence of family members and/or friends in a situation like that. If this sounds too nosy, please forgive me and disregard my questions. Does your fiance know of...

Two questions: 1. How close do you live to Disneyland? 2. May I be the one to give the bride away? 1. Right now, I'm really close to Universal Studios Japan! Not exactly Disneyland, but close enough. I've started thinking that's a really good idea!! !! 2. Thank you so much! I'm not on great terms w...

I've been feeling quite stressed about this lately. My fiancee is an introvert but he still has lots of friends and people that he's kept in touch with from high school, travelling, work, etc. I told him I would prefer a registry wedding, just us, and he said that's no problem. But I know he really ...

a few years ago i went to a christmas party with co-workers. at the end of the night everyone had to give a short speech, about end of year/new year hopes, that kind of thing. it was actually a nice party, my speech went fine, most of the time was spent eating and drinking and talking about the food...

One day in primary school, my teacher was in a bad mood because some of the kids had been 'misbehaving'. So, she told everyone to stay in their seats, and not to speak or put up our hands for any reason. Unfortunately, i really really needed to go to the bathroom. The combination of orders (no speak...

my first boyfriend asked me why I looked down all the time (avoiding eye contact). years later when i finally made the AS connection i emailed him to let him know, coz i assumed he must have been hinting indirectly or encouraging me to connect the dots myself. but actually he wrote back and said he ...

Wow, does this sound familiar. I remember going to the psychiatrist's office. My mom even admits taking me there with my brother, who has ADHD. She told us all about the IQ tests we took. After that, whenever I had a temper tantrum, my mom would say things like: It's just your artistic personality;...

"It does sound suspect. Have you tried to confront your parents about it?[/quote]" Not yet. More and more, I know that reading and researching Aspergers is helping me to understand my life (regardless of the outcome of a diagnosis). At the same time, I am nearly positive that both of my parents shar...

Recently I've been getting flashbacks to strange episodes from my childhood. My mother used to tell me, at random moments, 'I dont know what I would do if my child was autistic. I wouldnt be able to cope'. It seems like a strange thing to say to someone. Surely, it would make more sense to say somet...
