Whoa. I'm INTJ, and the population of this type is huge.

Wow! Happy Birthday Wrong Planet! I was away for awhile, but came back because of someone who recently became a member. I started here four years ago when I was told by a counselor that I was probably an Aspie. While a professional counselor, she wasn't qualified to diagnose AS. It was around then t...

Haha, I like "Correct Planet!" I used to think I had a "mild" case of Asperger's but after taking autistic/aspie quizzes I believe I've just adapted and compromised a lot with the NT world! Hi elancee!! !! Since discovering I probably have AS, I too realized I've put much effort into functioning in...

Hi Aspie_Chav. Now this is making more sense. I can understand some more of what you're saying. The other people don't matter. Yes we live in an NT world, and somehow we have to tame ourselves so that we can function here, tough as that may be. Never compromise though. It's never worth compromising ...

Why would you do that? Why would you lie about your marital status? There's nothing at all wrong with being single. Besides, anyone speaking with you for any length of time regarding your "marriage" will quickly know you're lying. Especially don't lie about kids; any real parent will know instantly ...

Hi drummer_girl! That's a challenge, certainly, but here are a few ideas that might help. Though I like hugs, I'd be extremely leary of a total stranger wanting to hug me in an environment where it would be unusual. Sure, hugs are usually harmless, and it's sometimes really nice to feel that someone...

I don't think anyone can become a savant in anything by force of will or involvement in activity. You can become proficient in something, obsessed certainly, and develop a passion for it, but you're either a savant or you're not. If you study and use math, it can become as a second language. I consi...

Secondary master. On the homebuilt, it's secondary master with regular hard drives on both primaries and the secondary slave. On the old Dell, I have a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM on secondary master, and CD-R/RW on secondary slave.

And you'd have felt better by going?

There are times when I'm invited to things and I'll remark to a trusted (in as much as I give trust) individual that I don't want to go.

"It's a free meal!" they'll say.

"I'd rather starve."

I have a few Logitech trackballs I use on various machines, and I love 'em. The only one with which I don't regularly use a trackball is the ThinkPad.

No pretty pictures here, just my current working desktop. Running SuSE Linux, v 9.2. Enlightenment window manager. And yes, the CPU monitor is currently pegged at 100%. I make my machines work. 8)

Any takers on the idea that perhaps people in their mid-30's, 40's and on up (as well as perhaps even younger people too), who are exploring the possibilty of possibly being on the ASD Spectrum are often (though clearly not always) people who have had a fractious relationship with their families an...

If you're male and wear makeup feel free to respond! No offense to mathogre. None taken! ^_^ Makeup's fun. Actually being a girl is fun. (The avatar is me, btw.) For me, I only wear enough to transform to female. I try not to wear any more than necessary. While the foundation must be rather o...
