I wrote a brief paper, (less than a page double spaced) explaining what autism was, and then disclosing that I was autistic. I dropped it in his office mailbox, with a note that he could email me with additional questions.

Although it's sort of interesting that you brought this trait up. In Steinbeck's the Grapes of Wrath, a paragraph is devoted to the use of forceps in the birth of and the cone-shaped head of the autistic character, Noah. Sometimes it is difficult even for the person doing it to know if it is a tic or a stim. I move my head in a strange pattern at random intervals throughout the day.
