I learned about this new medication called Drazosin, which is a blood pressure medicine, which in certian situations has proved in trials to help combat veterans with PTSD with nightmeres. I am an Aspie, not a combat veteran-but I do struggle with severe nightmeres though, which I believe are PTSD s... |

Dear Fellow Aspies, I am finding this a very "cold" social-emotionally time of the year. Does any of you feel the same way? I find people are just cold and unsympathic even apathetic at this time of year. Does any of you feel the same way? I also feel lonely, hopeless and unloved, even in despair at... |

Dear FaithHopeChease, I will try your suggestion of a dream dictionary, a clean room and a relaxation tape I usually listen to before bed, when I am at my apartment. I didn't have the relaxation tape last night at my parrent's place, and that is when I had another horrible nightmere. Thanks very muc... |

I do-and I am getting very discouraged by it, and it seems resistant to treatment, see my recent post. I not only suffer from insominia, but I suffer from chronic nightmeres too.
I definately believe it has to do in part with my tramatic experiences of how society reponds to me. |

I am an Aspie with complications of anxiety and depression. I have been struggling with chronic nightmeres and insomina, and I am on medications, I am in therapy, I am taking an "Emotional Regulation" cource, etc. and nothing seems to be making these nightmeres and insomia go away. Most of the dream... |

I have experiences with animals, outside of and independent of the animal rights movement. These experiences teach me that animals have value and are worthy of moral consideration. And, call me to live nonviolently with them. This is what keeps me going on this front, despite some of the issues I ha... |

I just want to comment in defense of what animal rights is trying to accomplish. First, animal rights is ecologically individualistic. Meaning, the lives of individual animals matters. They can't be sacroficed for a greater ecological whole or good. Second, animals are "subjects of a life" meaning a... |

Here is something possitive said about the disability community for a change, by an animal group: ebruary 2009 From Puppy-Mill Victim to Beloved Role Model Dare, a 3-year-old sheltie, is the ultimate survivor. This brave little dog was born in a puppy mill, where his back left leg was bitten off whe... |

Last week, I discovered a disturbing review written by Jeffery Mason, author of the book When Elephants Weep a pioneering book, on the emotional lives of nonhuman animals. As an animal rights person, he was a person who I looked-up too, ever since I first studied him in college. I am very disappoint... |

Do you mean, "Since when, do you think Aspie, do not have equal rights?" Is this what you were asking? If so, in "theory" Aspies have equal rights, but as an Apsie myself, I have not always been treated as a person with equal rights. Over the years I have had to deal with tremendious discrimination,... |

I know-I go to Church in the Burtonville area. In terms of "labels," I struggle with how to use them, so I apologize if I was offensive in any way. I guess, what I was thinking, using a "minority model," is that the priviledged, white male, dynamic, has been broken, now allowing opprotunities for ot... |
