I read this story just now: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8133834.stm It talks about how people's behaviours are modified by people around them (sometimes in a bad way). The inspiration for the story being the media focus on British MP's (Member's of Parliament) taking advantage of expenses al...

Snap to MattShizzle: aged 35 and I want to be dominated by a woman too. :) I think I have masochistic desire because of mild sensory issues and also because of low-self-esteem and because it's difficult to communicate sometimes. The idea of just surrendering is comfortable to me. It's just easier to...

There seems to be a topic on here already about Dr Aric Sigman - from February 2007 I think ... about watching too much TV.

I'm non-committal on stuff like this ... but I am interested in the possibilities things like this pose.

I used to as well (take things apart). I was taking electrical appliances apart at home by 9 years old at the latest - not being able to put things back together (and getting into trouble). I used to joke later on that at least I can "fix things now" and so hopefully pay for my earlier misdemeanors....

Hi - I'm Dave ... and I was diagnosed earlier this month at Sheffield Asperger Syndrome Service. (I live in Stockport). The AQ test is based on a test devised by Professor Simon Baron-Cohen at Cambridge. Goto this website: http://www.autismresearchcentre.com/tests/default.asp ... and download the AA...

Why do you think Aspergers people are oh so innocent to where they can be manipulated? Maybe Kanners autistics can be manipulated. But Aspergers if anything are harder to manipulate because we are so set in our ways and so stubborn. I think it would be very easy for an Aspergers person to kill and ...

I'm interested in this "revenge" thing. I don't think I really have that inclination. Not intellectually. I sometimes get very frustrated by people - I want them to "understand" my point of view. I want them to "understand" that they're hurting me or being "stupid". I can be angry with frustration. ...

I desperately need sleep but I must reply to this: I suppose a severely Aspergers person who really lacks no empathy would be great at torturing people. Though I think many Aspies do honestly have empathy. Reminds me of something my phsychologist said "well Aspergers people aren't suppose to have em...

Hey Aspetta - I really like what you said ... I think maybe that I'm still not clear in my own thoughts and perhaps I'm still seeking out a "group" to identify with (I'm only just diagnosed though I've strongly suspected for months since commencing research). Well - I've always know I'm different. A...

Hi - I think this subject might be a bit uncomfortable for some people but I'm genuinely interested in Autistic people's attitudes. I'm not talking about impulsive behaviour or anything like that - I mean intentional or "routine" behaviour that is acceptable. I'm prompted to post this based on the r...
