I went with most of the time. Since I work in the retail world I'm exposed to dozens if not more people in a day. Since learning of my AS I've learned how to interpret more of the subtleties of non-verbal communication. Not too long ago I ran into my ex-girlfriend who is now married and we got talki...

For me I often keep my AS to myself. I really see no reason to tell complete strangers about my AS when its likely that most people may not be informed about it. Fortunately those few people I do tell think that I don't appear autistic to them when I tell them of my AS. Over the past eight years sin...

I can easily relate to this. I have had times where I start to go past the point where most others would have stopped. Issues that those who are NT may not notice/care about. This has been a problem for me for quite some time. Even before I found out that I had AS...

I have the same thing going with my sense of smell. Mine is with cigarette smoke. I can tell if someone was smoking in a room even if it has been hours after it happened. What's worse is that my dad tells me not to let it bother me. He doesn't get that there's nothing that I can do about it.

I'm Matt. New to this forum. I was diagnosed with Asperger's eight years ago. Since finding out about this disorder I have worked hard at behaving "normally". I've been able to get quite a good hold on my AS over these past 8 years. I've also read several books about AS and how it affects those arou...
