I'm NT and my second toe is longer (I'm also Irish). My son is on the spectrum and his second toe is shorter than his big toe.

I have heard a longer second toe is a sign of intelligence  8) I also think it's prettier. :flower:

Has anyone homeschooled with the K12 program? I'm exploring options in the event I will be homeschooling soon. I was wondering if this program is worth looking more into.

Thanks!

My son is the same way. He was recently tasked with his first book report and ran into this problem. The school didn't realize he couldn't understand because he's a straight A student otherwise, and understand textbooks fine. He just can't interpret figurative, non direct language. It's not a compre...

So, should the question be what is your definition of attractiveness? and how relative is that to where you are in your life? Everything on here makes me think that what a person finds as attractive is more than just what a person looks like. My husband thinks I look better now at 46 than I did at 2...

The only reason that I asked about the smoking is because when I get in the car, I MUST light one up, no matter how short the drive. I'm not even one to go smoke after sexy-time. But with my morning coffee, most of the time after I eat and the car thing is more of one of those things I just can't s...

My son did that for a while, and it stopped, and I heard it today at lunch actually again. I just ignore it. To me, stimming or whatever that is, unless it is really interfering with functioning, doesn't bother me. I look at it as something that is comforting him so I allow it. Interesting the comme...

Thanks Skribble for your support! The medication thing is really not a road that I wanted to go down, but it just got to the point that nothing was working anymore. Social skills and CBT have been difficult for him because even if you suggest a different approach or way of looking at things he takes...

Hi MommyJones :) I'm taking Fluvoxamine (aka 'Luvox' or 'Faverin'), an SSRI for my OCD. 'Perfection' is usually a part of OCD. Although, for Asperger's I noticed the OCD is likely to be Ruminations and the 'mental' aspect of it - like thinking through things over and over, instead of the typical/ge...

He doesn't distinguish (except for clergy) the difference between a principal, a smaller kid, a parent...to him we are all on the same level. I'm a grownup and I still think like this. It's brought me more good than bad. Beautiful people love me for it, whereas crazy, fearful people hate me for it....

I haven't read all of this, but what I did skim through made me think of something I feel the need to share. My son has this exact same problem. He doesn't distinguish (except for clergy) the difference between a principal, a smaller kid, a parent...to him we are all on the same level. He has a prag...

Is perfectionism a manifestation of OCD? Yes and no. As an Aspie, who is also a perfectionist (with a bit of OCD), I feel there are different types of perfectionism. I know my OCD areas also hold to a strong sense of perfectionism that is strongly linked to order & neatness. But there are other...
