I fear an ordinary mundane reality, so I choose to live a life in the pursuit of truth and knowledge which naturally avoids the problem. Ultimately, I fear ignorance; ignorance which in turn will inevitably lead to conformity or blind submission to cultural and social norms and expectations. I fear ...

Yes. I know exactly how you feel. It feels as though my thoughts are not reflected accurately by the words in which I use in attempt to convey whatever it is that I am feeling. I may sound articulate when expressing myself, but I don't feel as though my thoughts are truly what I feel, like as if I a...

Yea. One of my favorite. David Lynch's bizarre surrealism and symbolism appeal most to me. He as a unique ability tot take a film with such a simple plot and make turn it into an intellectual and highly contemplative one. In the Lynch films I've watched-- The Elephant Man, Eraserhead, Mullholland Dr...

I was once asked in high school if I was bisexual. I think this might of been because of my step-brother who had a grudge towards me from middle school; he began to spread a rumor that I was. He may have decided to rumor that I was bisexual rather than gay because he was probably aware of the fact t...

If a christian can give a rational explanation for the following: If god who is believed to be by virtually all religions, an all powerful and all knowing being, then by those virtues god already knows what the future holds for us because he knows everything. Despite this knowledge, god created the ...

Why shouldn't you? Karma is unreliable in the sense that if you want to believe it, than it is true, but if choose not then it actually is not. Why? The conscience decision of accepting karma as true will cause you to see what you think you should see by using selective observations while ignoring o...

Karma can be defined as actual cause and effect, and that how we treat others will reflect on we think of ourselves which will ultimately lead to an outcome in our lives. The part I do understand about karma is the cause and effect from which or behaviors manifest our perception of reality, but what...

What I was actually implying was not that the belief of karma is that there is god who imposes the appropriate consequences for our actions, but instead that without the belief in god how could one possibly believe in karma. Karma can be defined as actual cause and effect, and that how we treat othe...

Good things happen bad people, but they also happen to good people. Also, good and bad things happen to both good and bad people. In order to answer such a question another must first be asked: Do you believe in free will? The reason why this question needs to be asked first is because one of the im...
