Yes, definitely 50,000 once a week. I guess if you have a test at the doctors and you need it, they'll give you the big dosage. As for the reason for once per week rather than daily dose, I can't explain... Reading about it on the net, from an amateurs point of view, continued use of 50,000 isn't re... |

Hi all, I thought I'd share a recent experience here, in case it helps anyone. I've always been a bit lethargic, slow, tired and struggled to drag myself out of bed in the morning, but considered it was part of who I was. However, I became quite sick just before Christmas, nasty sore throat, cough, ... |

Hi tangerine12, I worked in accounting for 7 years and found I suited it quite well, though this was all before I discovered I had AS. I started at the bottom, processing basic adjustments, and slowly worked up to a lower management position. I guess like many jobs, it all depends on the circumstanc... |

Hey Asp-Z, I find this really interesting, especially the small print on 'Ignored or ineligible?'. You could gather some more up-to-date info by adding a poll on the number of WPers in full-time employment, though this may already be on here somewhere (sorry, I'm hopeless with the search function! :... |

I agree with the posts above regarding undiagnosed AS folk. I have at least 10 family members who I believe are undiagnosed and all have held down jobs since leaving school. I don't think any of them are aware they are ASD, and although I often hear common stories from each of them about bullying an... |

Anyone see the Quentin Tarantino interview on Jonathan Ross this weekend? (UK BBC) I had no idea he might have Aspergers before seeing it, but now think he must be. Eye-contact, hand gestures and the monologue like tendencies where pretty clear, but at one point he missed some fairly subtle humour a... |

I'd like to die doing something good for mankind, but can't think of anything worthwhile at the moment....
Otherwise, I like the idea of a heroine overdose, or a falling piano.

I've smoked weed a few times. Small amounts were great for socialising, but too much would send me into a fit of giggles. I had happy cake once, when I was visiting a friend in South Africa. It gave me awful delusions for about 12 hours. I thought I was going to die. I didin't know where I was, and ... |

This thread is really interesting. Theory of Mind is new to me and I'm still just getting to grips with it; the idea that people pick up on thoughts and feelings instinctively was completely alien to me. Unless I'm misunderstanding, what we're actually talking about here is NTs making assumptions ab... |

It's only one day in the UK (2nd April), but I'd guess the media will be more concerned with the anarchic demonstrations associated with the G20 summit (if we're to believe Scotland Yard's warnings!)
I think the awareness day will be a non-event here...

Thanks guys. :) The key thing that made me think is people's facial expression when I talk: it almost seems like it's painful talking to me, and sometimes there is a look of disgust on their face. They will always end the conversation very quickly. I'm realising it's impossible to hold a conversatio... |

Hi everyone, Just thought I'd introduce myself, I'm new here. I've always wondered why I've never been able to connect with others people in person, and always end up feeling different from everybody else. I'm still not entirely sure if I have AS, but after reading about it I feel like everything ha... |
