1. I stated that I am Elitist when I comes to publishing, but that's jsut my own view on the matter. I know that, but that's also saying that unpublished original fiction isn't as good, which didn't make sense to me as your argument was trying to say that original fiction was creative. I was thinki...

They are creative yes, but creativity is something that just about anyone with an imagination can do. I feel that fanfiction aims lower than original fiction on the scale of achievement and how personal it is to the author. Achievement wise, Few works of fanfiction are ever published, and most of t...

There is no clear separation between nature and nurture. We can only nurture according to our nature. And our nature changes according to our nurture. It's like the mind/body false separation. Which bit of the mind is *not* in the body? Can you have any perception of body without a mind? Either way...

I have an easy time making up characters so maybe I can help. I'm not sure how others come up with their characters, but for me, I usually think of one starting just with the character's species. Soon after that comes their gender and a few things about them, then the more I think of the more the mo...

I've honestly never heard that people thought it is more common for someone with autism to be a "genius" or that people with autism thought they were. I've heard about a lot of them being intelligent, but a genius? Maybe I just don't know what the common stereotypes are... Saying the majority of AS ...

Does anyone find themselves listening to the same song over and over again and never getting sick of it? Then another comes along and you do the same? Or maybe it's a couple in a playlist that you repeat? While my friend's highest play count was about 90/100 mine was closer to 2000. Yep I do this a...

I think I would have done a lot better if I was home schooled. Even now I still don't know how to interact right or make friends-not because I haven't been around people but because nobody will tell me how!

Ditto.

I never want kids, but if an aspie really wants them and is able to take care of them, there isn't any reason they shouldn't.

Very good video. I relate to a lot of it. I spent all my breaks in elementary school swinging too.

I wear sunglasses and in my room my curtains are made of thick, dark-colored fabric that blocks the light really well. I have a ceiling fan with one dim lightbulb in it (instead of the three it's supposed to have) for when I need light at night. I also have a sort of flashlight thing that I can chan...

I've never had a problem with obsessions "taking over my life", or if they do, it's actually a good thing. I can't stop thinking about them (don't know why I'd want to) but thinking about these obsessions is a great coping mechanism when put in stressful situations-they even help me concentrate on s...

I don't feel like I've gotten better socially, but I haven't gotten worse either. However, when compared to someone else my age, I seem a LOT worse. Really I don't think I've gotten any worse, but my peers seemed to have learned so much socially since the time they were younger and I just...didn't, ...

Without going into the gory details an incident occurred today with friends that caused me to leave them, drive off and then sit in my car in a fluctuating state between crying and staring blankly for about an hour and a half. What I find most disturbing I was aware that I was completely over react...

I love my obsessions. Sometimes I feel sad there's no one to talk to about them, but the feeling never lasts long because when I'm thinking of stories relating to the obsessions, I can be in my own little world. :D It's fun to dream about them too, so I don't really need to talk to people about them...
