I wouldn't say curiousity about suicide is "a desire to know or learn death from killing oneself". Definition from dictionary: Curiosity - a strong desire to know or learn something. Suicide - the action of killing oneself intentionally. Death - the action or fact of dying or being killed; the end ... |

I'd say it depends if the idea is appealing. Suicidal ideation seems to be defined as the desire to commit suicide, regardless of how frequently or how 'seriously' or in how much detail, or that's what I've understood from Googling.* So let's say that a person is thinking about suicide in a very gr... |

Suppose that a person thinks about death, from a philosophical perspective, and no more than he thinks about other mysteries. If the person thinks about death resulting from a course of action(s) that are intentional, then yes it would be still classified as a suicidal ideation. If the person think... |

Maybe the doctor was testing you to see if you were faking your mental condition. I came upon an article that used a similar question by social service investigators in California. Investigators gave Souphan a standard test of mental function. They asked how apples and oranges are similar. She said ... |

Has anyone ever read works done by Kafka? I got an impression that Kafka may have been on the spectrum or gay or both. Any speculations? I'm not too sure about him being gay. If you read his letters to his first fiancee whom he was engaged twice to, you'll notice his obsessed devotion to her. 11 No... |

Do your research on the medication before you take them. Also, keep a medical journal of your progress and side effects when your on them. Your doctor will be able to help you out better. |

All I know is that psychiatry allows me to function in this world. Good psychiatry IS based on sound science. Obviously individual doctors may not practice correctly, but that does not change the fundamental facts of the field. The probability of malpractice/abuse/exploit is higher than normal comp... |

Psychiatry is a pseudo science Discuss The statement is obviously false The field of psychiatry is huge emcompassing many different subfields and overlapping with many other fields (such as neurology). Anyone who claims the entire field of psychiatry is a pseudo-science is either not rational or do... |

How did your teacher react to your apathy? - She told me that she will put me a bad mark when the lesson ends. But i really didn't care. As a teacher, how would you feel if one of your student thought like this about your class? If you put no effort into this class, then what she said was justified... |

For every action there is a reaction. Think before you act. If you really want to prevent these type of situations, I suggest you to analyze the actions more carefully and learn from the consequences. Fully comprehending the rules of engagement and learning from the responses will help you handle p... |

@Firebird
Why are you documenting these experiences so openly? This is a public forum and anything you write is viewable by anyone, including the government agencies and aliens.. Don't you think that this might be exacerbating your condition? |

um, couldn't this apply to anyone with or without ADHD? Yes, they're just statistically much more likely to happen to someone with ADHD, and less likely the earlier treatment is started. Same thing with Ritalin side effects. There's more reasons than just Ritalin that someone might lose weight or f... |
