If they are Christians and they aren't trouble makers, they are welcome. Anyone who is not offended by discussion about Christian topics and who can act like an intelligent adult as opposed to a juvenile trying to stir up trouble is welcome. |

I think the utter nonsense that transpired from one single post just solidified the case for the need for a Christian board. YES, Christian Aspies need our own board. When we don't have our own space to discuss substantive issues (i.e. spiritual growth, salvation, witnessing, etc.), the devil uses to... |

Hope this helps. Let me know what happens.
It is quite a process and can be rather long, I should warn you.
But it is very rewarding and well worth it.
That's the best bunch of people I have ever worked with. |

I am a spirit-filled Christian. I am very interested in talking with other Christian Aspies. I also have a survey for Christian Aspies (and others on the spectrum) and how they relate to church. I am hoping I can compile the information and help other Aspies with their church experiences. If you don... |

That is what DAEs do. When there is a disaster, they are called and have to travel to it.
In times like now, you would very likely be called.
What state are you in? |

No, not really. There was a JFO in my area and I started out as a contractor. Then they hired me as a local hire. When my job ended, they converted me to a DAE. If there are not active JFOs in your area, you can go to their site and apply for a DAE (it is also called an SAE - Stafford Act Employee).... |

I was a DAE (disaster assistance employee) for FEMA. A DAE is a reservist. When there is a disaster, DAEs are deployed to do damage assessments and man various functions of the JFO (joint field office) or other offices. It was awesome! FEMA pays for the travel and you rotate out three weeks or so an... |

My husband is the first person I told. We were just best friends at the time. He thought I was making it up. LOL He had never heard of Asperger's before. He started reading about it, watching documentaries and listening to radio programs about AS. He has seen me at my Aspie worst and my Aspie best -... |

Chrissyrun, I see your point and I see what you mean. It is good to see people who are still pure of heart (though they are increasingly few and far between) and your efforts to educate and enlighten here are admirable. However, it is obvious that your words of wisdom fall upon deaf ears. When you s... |

This is an interesting survey for people on the spectrum and their views/experiences on church/religion.

I am an Aspie and I am an analyst for the federal government! I make a decent salary ($74,000) and there is NO REASON you or any other Aspie can't work too! I admit that it may be difficult securing the position - that is the hardest part for me. I started out at what is basically a temporary positi... |

Why does this idea disturb you? What outcome are you expecting to result from it becoming general knowledge? I informed those close to me when we realized I likely had AS, and then confirmed it when I got my official diagnosis. I do not keep it secret from anyone I expect to associate with much. Ho... |
