Hello, I'm a 22-year-old senior at Ithaca College, which is among the most radically neurotypical environments I come from. As part of my curriculum for this semester, I intern with a film production company covering scripts. I'm a screenwriter by major, but I think I want to produce. I'm originally...

Hey. I'm going to start with a little about myself. I was diagnosed with autism at 4 and was one of the first to be clarified as having AS at age 5. I went to a very good special ed elementary school, where I made lasting friendships that still exist. High school was a much worse experience, but I h...

I would love to own my own business, one way or another. I'm graduating from college next year with a film degree. Kind of looking to start an online business related to film possibly. Not sure what though, but I'm currently taking a class that explores the business side of film. My professor's last...

Thanks. That's very sound advice. I don't really have any friends or family with the same career interests as I have, so I wouldn't do that anyway. Of course it takes time to make a profit. I don't know who gets high income early on with a bachelor's degree these days, especially with one in film. I...

Hello. Let me start with a little about myself and my studies. I was diagnosed when I was five in 1994 or thereabouts. Kind of surprised some people that I ended up in college. Kind of always dreamed of making movies ever since I was a kid, but after studying screenwriting at Ithaca College I have r...

Directing is a really amazing job. I would do it if I was a technical visual thinker, but I'm not. I am considering some producing. maybe I think I'll get my start in television and then move into film. I haven't decided on anything for sure. What made you decide to study economics?

I totally see where you're coming from. The whole entertainment industry is really fast paced. I know more people in the theater industry than in film and that's because my parents have acted more on stage. My mom is switched to psychology really late in life. Both my parents studied acting in Engla...

That's awesome you're interested in acting for both film and stage. It's hard to find people who are equally interested in both. So tell me more about yourself. Where did you do study acting? or do you have other ways of learning the craft. I know some of the greatest actors learned by doing. Tommy ...

Hello everyone, I'm a student at Ithaca college, majoring Cinema and Photography with a concentration in screenwriting. I'm currently working on a screenplay that deals with the spectrum. My hope is that the script will someday be directed by an aspie. It's nowhere near a point where I can just send...

It is like living in a different world kind of. People there tend to be very sociable and act very tolerant and embracing of different groups. I find it easy to get acquainted, but difficult to really read people's level of interest because they can't really be trusted to be brutally honest. There's...

I'm very curious to hear more details about how the group worked for you. First off about how many people were in the meetings? and how were they organized? Were they moderated? Did people take turns speaking? I'd like to share some of my experiences if I may. It may not all be entirely related. I h...
