As a guy who's on a lot of gun forums, I can say that Trump is not particularly popular with shooting sports crowd, though many of them feel obligated to vote for him due to the fact that he's running against Hillary Clinton, so Trump isn't likely to get much extra-legal support from that corner. I...

https://www.youtube.com/user/eyes2jesus/videos This is someone I discovered on an atheist forum (freejinger) talking about her ASD etc. in some of these videos. I thought I'd share this as a general heads up of people with Asperger's discussing it online so wrong planet members knew of this vlogger....

Excellent choice: 'Red Right Hand' and 'Into My Arms' are brilliant.

The user above calls himself/herself the Great Dolphin worthy of respect. LOL it brings to mind the comedy movie the 'Inbetweeners 2' in which a character complains 'dolphins are so badly treated cause all they eat is raw fish. Poor dolphins get no burgers, no KFC, no Nandos chicken for their birthd...

It varies because a lot of different popular songs and ethnic and classical pieces can strike different cords (pun wasn't intended) of emotion for me, so they install different kinds of relaxation. Having said that instrumental, jazz, ethnic, classical or electronic pieces are best to help me blank ...

I recently watched 'Zodiac' and felt the makers were trying to hint that the main character (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) had Aspergers, although it wasn't mentioned at all. It's based on a true story and I don't know what the real Robert Graysmith is actually like, but I've read that he's an eccentr...

@Nebrets, I should indicate I'm doing medicine as a graduate route (i.e. doing a medical Bachelors after a BA or Bsc- this is not the normal route in the UK where I am, but in the US this is the normal route lol so if you're from the USA it may be familiar to you?) and the reason I chose to apply fo...

Since I was diagnosed with AS I've been considering work as a doctor (hopefully in a mix of practical medical care and also academic medical research). However before I apply for medical school I am weighing up some of the possible disadvantages. I do have a capacity for meltdowns due to anxiety in ...

I don't mean ignoring someone when a conversation has started (I know that's rude) but I mean not responding to a comment from a stranger that's meant to start a conversation. An incident occurred recently: I was on the bus home from my part-time work shift (an morning-afternoon one that ended at 2p...

What was so "different" about him that they hated? I really can't say what in particular they hated; I think maybe they thought someone who did not have the same social capacities as the majority of the human race was so profoundly different and they refused to treat him as human. What I found appa...

I knew someone who's boyfriend was abandoned by his family a few years before they met because they got tired of his personality and his Asperger's- this was when he was 16 and he was left homeless. I've also known people rejected in similar ways by their families etc. just because they refuse to de...
