It's important to be self-sufficient, everyone should strive to do that and wanting your partner to be the same isn't asking for a lot in that sense. However unemployment shouldn't be a dealbreaker if they don't have a job, if someone has that rule then I think it says more about them than the perso... |

And I know she doesn't secretly desire a stoner or to smoke weed because before me and her got together I was a casual stoner and she asked me to give it up once we did. Unfortunately you have just proven the problem right there. You sound like a nice guy but at the same time like a total walkover.... |

Thanks for the help guys but I feel there is a bit more to this that I don't really know how to explain... Like mixed signals and sh** I don't know how to explain through text... Also I don't think she was cheating on me because she's insanely against cheating, I also think that the guy may just be... |

If she is already considering dating someone else after breaking up with you a few days ago then she is a b***h. You're better off without her. Without sounding cruel, it sounds like shes wanted out for some time, it wouldn't surprise me if she cheated on you as well. Most people would want some alo... |

You're saying that you think there is something wrong with him, but from how you've explained that, it sounds more like you're the one with the problem. I don't mean that horribly, but what you've said sounds awfully insecure and needy to me. This was my first thought as well. Maybe he isn't an Asp... |

Actually it is genetic. as is diabetes, both run in my family. I am worried myself about any future offspring of mine being on the spectrum. Then how do you explain someone who has AS/Autism, when they have no family history of the condition? This isn't aimed at you at all, but one thing I have not... |

I've been seeing someone for a year now. It hasn't been easy for various reasons, but mainly: 1. because of my erratic behaviour due to Asperger's and 2. because they have unresolved and undiagnosed health problems which have largely been the focus of the last 12 months (lots of waiting for test re... |

I have AS, and my older brother has moderate-strong classic autism (he can't work, live independently, etc.). It is suspected from coming from my dad's side, as he displays many AS traits. My mom told me a few years ago that I should be wary of having children, and said there is a "high chance that... |

The worst thing though is, the closer I get to my own age range, the more likely they are to have kids already, which is a complete deal breaker. So then I'm stuck looking at women in the 21-23 year old range and none of them ever seem to be interested. Might be a cultural difference here but the p... |

But she was honest, and she admitted she wasn't sure what she wanted. And if you saw this woman, you could see why she could afford the luxury of being choosy: intelligent, driven, concerned with her health and just a very lovely woman. If there's others she's considering, I don't have a chance, I'... |

It was at this point she said that she was embarking on a series of first dates with people she met on OKC, because she is not sure what she it looking for. But she wants to keep in touch, whatever that means... Personally I would consider this a red-flag straight away. If she thinks its alright to... |

And if you really are looking for new friends then ignoring anyone who says hello isn't a great starting point. Why are you judging me already? You don't know me. I have friends IRL, so I must be doing something right. Explain how in any way that was aimed at you? I was talking in general about wom... |
