Well, a lot of things have happened since I started this thread last year(ish) I tried a...

Hi all, haven't been on this website for YEARS!! I hope everyone's well? I'm so-so, and I just want to throw out this frustration and see if anyone has the same or similar problem. So a year ago I was given a flat to live in independently. I'm not happy about doing independent living because I didn'...

I reckon that I am one of only a few people whose boarderline autism has improved dramatically over the years. I wasn't diagonosed until I was 12, but my parents always knew I was autistic from a very young age. They fought hard to get the help and support that I needed because I have other stuff wr...

Steven is a 20 year old man with autism. He loves music, swimming and Mr Bean. Since December 2009, Steven has been incarcarated ...

2. I went for an interview at my local college today and I was in buckets. I didn't want to go but I had to. This is because I want to go to another residential college but the local one had to write a letter saying they can't meet my needs. Even worse, it was a group interview and I chickened out s...

Ok, I've been thinking about the story and I have decieded to change it around a bit. I don't want to make it like a copy of anything so the girl now goes to a clinic which helps her to get rid of her powers because she just wants to be a normal person. She is given bottles of her powers, in case sh...

I live in the UK and I've been in special schools literally all my life. I went to a mainstream school when I was 5, then I left when I was 8 because my parent's didn't think it was suitable. That was because I had learning difficulties and other problems though, autism wasn't diagnosed until roughl...

Along the way she finds out a lot about herself. The girl has problems and the boy has mild special needs. I've kept a note...

Weighted blankets are good if you are really stressed out. We have one in our sensory room at college. It's a great room, really relaxing. I used to go there a long time ago with a group but we don't do it anymore.
