Oops....apparently Fox was a little too slow to catch this (not that I'm surprised at that.) I just started a new thread on it, as this is the first I've heard about it. You gotta admire the guy for being secure enough in his masculinity to wear pink boxers around a bunch of soldiers in a warzone, t... |

I suspect the reason so many of us have to deal with the issue of friends and family in denial is because those folks want to believe what's "wrong" with us can be "fixed". This could be due to misconception about ASD's being psychological in origin rather than neurological (our brains are just plai... |

Yeah, I'm a Libertarian Socialist  Economic Liberal, Social Liberal, and Libertarian I'm not saying this is a contradiction, but please explain how being an economic liberal and a libertarian works. It would seem that most who claim to be economically liberal would fall more on the statist sid... |

Without reading the responses, I'd prefer that the OP provide her own thoughts as opposed to merely posting stories that she agrees with. Beyond that, it is important to understand the political spectrum. I've said this before, but I'll go ahead an say it again. A left-right one-dimensional line ca... |

I just can't seem to stick with a given character long enough to make it to the upper levels. My highest currently is Talanalan, a 36th-level human warrior on the Darrowmere server, but lately I've mostly been playing Deaconblues, a drainei hunter on Fenris, and Necromorphic, a human warlock on Dar... |

Welcome to WrongPlanet, fellow Awkward One!
I can relate to difficulties making and keeping friends. I can probably count on my fingers the number of true, honest-to-goodness friends I've had in my life - and most of them I've known since I was a kid. |

Should this message be taken as a heavy dose of sarcasm? not at all, i deal with people so much that i actually pity a lot of the poor devils But why have empathy for those who harm you? Whether or not they are hurting inside they also have a choice. because they are shallow and weak.................. |

Yes. Direct link to ASD and bullying/teasing - harassment. Also, ASD individuals are far more likely to abused or victimized, often at extreme levels. mikemmlj: Definitely; and if there's one that is in a position to dominate, she will. I say 'she' because females are the worst for me. I'm a female... |

Possible AS (not dx'ed), special interest : videogames (recently expanding to manga/anime) Ditto - Although I include board and role-playing games among my interests/obsessions. It was in fact, one of the reasons I went back to school to finish my degree (after dropping out of college 12 years ago.) |

The most frustrating thing for me is not knowing for sure. When I tell people they always tell me I'm wrong. I find people are keen to criticise me in relation to my lack of organisation, my inability to cook or do anything practical, my monologuing and always turning the conversation to my current... |

Call me old-fashioned, but I certainly do not think a text message is an appropriate place to be asking that kind of thing. Sounds like she's sizing you up, and "experience" is something she most likely is looking for.
Something like that is every bit as loaded as "what do you do?" |

Good on you for going. It's a shame that society still looks upon men seeking help as non masculine - that attitude is very dangerous, hence the higher suicide rate. Somehow it's just about acceptable if a woman cries, but a man does he must be mad or gay :? Crazy stuff. Yep. That's because we men ... |
