I've heard of them, thought they sounded pretty good to my recollection. Chris Broderick (now in Megadeth) played guitar for them at one time, didn't he?

Thankfully no mindbenders of any type anymore. That said, I also avoid caffeine, alcohol, drugs, and snacks with loaded sodium and / or sugar content.

Not exactly medications either, but I take multivitamins everyday and a glucosamine / chondroitin supplement for my knees.

Funny this thread came up. I was thinking of going into accounting as a career, but after doing research, I realized I might be getting back into the rat race of what my old career path was. I was going to complete the classes over the next year or so required to sit in for the CPA exam in Illinois,...

I am capable of empathizing from a purely intellectual standpoint. I've experienced joy, so I know what it's like when somebody else experiences joy. Empathy specifically defined as some kind of emotional synergy within a group is something I'm not capable of. I guess it's much like emotions in gene...

I think you explained it pretty well. This is probably confusing somewhat, but I personally use financial ledger software (Jabplite on my Blackberry, back it up to Jabp on my computer), then I enter in my anticipated weekly food and travel expenses as "standing orders", then I process them out with ...

I'm not working full time, and I definitely need to be working more hours right now. I have a resume in with them, but haven't gotten a call back. I did interview recently with recruiters in another temp agency, but something tells me they were simply looking to collect another resume on their stack...

My honest but humble opinion: you look better with the beard. You're good without it, but the beard projects an elder wisdom for some reason.

I can engage strangers in small talk. It's definitely challenging, but I can pass it off like a normal person. I used to have problems with tags in clothes, labels, etc, not so much anymore. I used to interpret phrases extremely literally, i.e. "What's up?" meant the ceiling. Now I can roll sarcasti...

Just curious, has anyone worked with Accountemps here on this forum? I'm back in college right now (already have an undergrad on my wall) working toward the classes required to sit in for the CPA exam in Illinois. Meanwhile, my current job is great and squeaks by for me with the bills (I guess in t...

Alright, thanks for the advice! My hours just got cut, and I applied for an open job a step up from where I'm at in my department, and I basically had all my hard work and dedication spat upon when I was told I was beyond qualified yet somehow not qualified for the job. I have to learn to quit being...

Maybe something close to Irlen's Syndrome. That said, I thought about it over the past couple of days, and I think I'm blowing it out of proportion. I have some difficulty reading unaided, but not an all out struggle. Strangely enough, when I look at this computer screen as I type, I have no difficu...

For me, I actually love geometry, fractals, and intense visual patterns. Puzzles aren't my favorite thing in the world, but they're not a curse to me either.

You're correct, I don't like that response. Seriously though, as I said, it's not really a big deal. I can survive without the magnifying glass, I just thought it was interesting that the magnifying glass made it that much easier for me to digest what I'm reading. Maybe it's just a general h...

Cool, thanks. I was tested for binocular tracking growing up, and evidently it's something that didn't fully develop until I was around 8 or 10 years old, but it did eventually develop satisfactorily. I've actually flown planes before, so I have confidence in my vision. The NLD sounds like it might ...
