I have to be a bit skeptical about this one, because some people are lucky enough to look young and they might not have AS at all :)

Saying that I'm 24 and look about 17/18. It's possible. I just doubt it.

I was astonished to speak to a stranger online a few years ago (who also has aspergers), and previously to this we never spoke before. As it turns out we got chatting and they have exactly the same obsessions as I had. Its not an obsession that is your everyday coincidence. It was like my twin or so...

Excellent reading. This is exactly the type of thing needed. The harsh reality is, most of what we read/hear about these days has been written by people who either; 1) Don't even have aspergers/autism 2) Work for scientific/medical research getting their data by (comparing and generalizing) 3) Think...

There is a specific documentary (film/program) that was on the bbc a couple of years a go. The program called 'only human - make me normal' followed the life and utter frustration of autistic/asperger people at a specialized school. The documentary attempts to see the life of an autistic/asperger pe...

"There are people (adults) diagnosed with Aspergers that can't work, can't go to the street alone, can't live alone" I'm not being funny, but a family member of mine is like that. She is older than 40, but she doesn't have a diagnosis at all. Yet we are pretty sure she also has aspergers. We also kn...

Well here's another thing to maybe think about ... :) I'm not entirely sure aspergers is a result of social misunderstanding or negative social experiences. The reason being is that the human brain is conditioned, and has been conditioned for a very long time. However, it seems for us the conditioni...

No no, 'the feeling unwell part' - that was just an example of what I was trying to explain. The average 'undiagnosed' person probably often visits the doctor for answers. That is what I'm trying to say. I now see my diagnosis more of an 'answer' as to why I have struggled so much, so I can understa...

Aspergers is a clinical diagnosis, (I don't like the word label) so I'll use the word answer - as to why many people suffer real, and sometimes very distressing symptoms. A good example is this: If you start feeling unwell but can't pinpoint why, you or your family want answers. Maybe you have flu l...

Oh why does this sound all too familiar  For one you are certainly NOT insane. I share the same sense of humour where random things and words make me laugh. That is a good thing! For one, smiling and laughing is extremely good for you. More importantly though, it is bringing through good emotio...

I've been fighting this all of my life too. One day though, you get to a stage where you discover something important. Ignorance and rejection is a weakness from within the other person. A problem if you must, one that (only they) can change. At the time it feels nasty and hurtful yes, but just rem...
