I really try not to raise my voice but sometimes I can't help it  . My daughter talks all the time, repeats same sentence or question over and over again and she is very loud. When I talk to my husband she comes and starts talking about something completly ignoring the fact that we were talking...

Our kids go to a small private school and are happy there. The school has a very strict anti-bulling policy. Our older NT-ish daughter went to a public school for 2 years and was bullied, at the end of the second year she would complain of headaches every morning except in weekend and would winge an...

Our situation is like in that book, mum, dad, 14 yo NT sister and 7 yo aspie daughter. The kids don't have to much in common due to the age difference. But we do have a dog and a cat. My aspie daughter loves them very much and the dog never lives her side when she's home. When my daughter plays with...

No, I wouldn't abort my baby. I declined the tests when I was pregnant, I couldn't see the point of having them.

I'm an RN and I had swine flu about 3 months ago. We used to test every person that had flu-like symptoms (we don't do it anymore). I wasn't the only one that tested positive from the nursing staff in our ward. We were sent home for 3 days with Tamiflu. We all had blocked noses and were a bit tired,...

When I was younger I couldn't let go the argument when I knew I was right until the other person would admit the I was right. I'm a bit older now, more mature, and I learned that we can both be right in the same time. At the begining of our relationship my husband used to accuse me of something (tha...

Aspie or not, your husband is very abusive. My advice would be to think about your child and how his presence and behaviour afects her. Your child is your first priority and it is your responsability to create a safe environment for her. Once your child is safe you can think about helping your husba...

My mum always had an important job and so had my dad. They probably made similar money. Because of my mum's demanding job, my dad had to take over some of the housework. One time an old friend came to visit and said to my dad that he likes his wife to stay home and do the housework, do the 'woman's ...

Why? Part of my point was that we should take the opposite stance; that there can't be a single blanket age where somebody magically becomes 'able to consent'. But we can't have an assessment for every person either, so we need a rule that will apply to most people. I think 16 is a very good age li...

The reason teenagers are so stupid and rebellious is because their instincts tell them they're adults, but they've never been taught to be responsible like one. Yeah, it's unfair, but this what the NT society we created for us; now, we must live with it and pretend to enjoy it. What is unfair in trying to protect your child? I'm glad there are laws that protect de child and family. Of course a 14 yo girl will be more than happy with the attention of an adu...

I''ve got a 14 year-old daughter and I would do anything to keep a 19 year-old away from her, including going to the police. She is just a child. She may look like a young woman, may behave like one, but inside she is still sooo young.
