Thanks. Well, it's my band but it's the real Jeff from the real Pearl Jam. We go way back & he is nice enough to help us out w/ a bass track once in a while when he's in town. Glad you liked it. Pass it on, we need this to go worldwide. : ) |

Think of it this way. You tell your husband, "You know, it's really important to me that 3 times a week that you watch an hour or so of "A League of Their Own" with me. It's important to me because it's something I really like and it would really make me happy." If you told your husband that and he... |

I have a low sex drive so I am not all that interested in sex. I can live without it and don't need it. Being disinterested or indifferent to sex is different than not liking it or being repulsed by it. Your husband seems to have a normal amount of interest in sex. What I mean is he is a married ma... |

So every one of us individually is acting like a dick? You know this for sure? You can't just group us all like that. I never said nor meant to imply everyone with AS is the same. Likewise I hope you are not implying that any type of behavior is OK from someone just because they have AS. No matter ... |

I think what most people mean when they say that sort of thing is, "I know this is something you might have a hard time with and I can appreciate that but you don't have to be a dick about it.", which can be true. It's not fair to take it out on the rest of the world if you have a personal issue you... |

That doesn't sound like prejudice against autism to me, that just sounds like he didn't like the guy. It happens. Well, I don't really like A all that much either. He kind of creeps me out, but the way G was talking about him made me feel very...something, definitely because the things that he didn... |

Some people can or could argue but do not see the point wasting their time beating their head against a brick wall. They have better or more important things to do. Do not mistake this with someone who agrees with you or feels that they are wrong. |

Granatelli: Point taken. But still, in retrospect, it's hard to accept when adults act like children. Then again, maybe the rude man was only dealing with a diagnosis of his own. I find it easy to deal with children in general, but my profession before having children was an elementary school teach... |

If I am honest, this post is more about me SCREAMING  into cyber space than gaining any type of knowlege because what can a person do when something like this occurrs????: Today we took our 4 children to the zoo. My AS son (age 6) seems typical in many, many ways, but he has trouble getting in... |

This is often the crux of disagreements between my AS wife & myself. She will see something as all important and a huge deal when I will not, because in the context of the overall situation it truely is not. But she will often hyper focus on this tiny little detail & blow it all out of impor... |

You know, some of you guys are acting like dicks. Someone comes up to you and shows you some human kindness and concern and you feel the need to be sh***y to them. Shame on you. Sorry....maybe i'm cynical about this, but I doubt it has much to do with "human kindness" in most cases. I mean OK....if... |
