I've actually thought about this a lot whilst delving into poetry & philosophy, trying to meld the lot together with science & psychology. I agree that psychotic individuals are indeed very intelligent from a certain light, look at some paranoid schizophrenics & their writing, people on dopamine ant...

'cuse me jumping in here ... I agree with everything else everyone has said here, including hale_bopp's "I can't read your posts." Good luck! I think the biggest point here is to help people accept differences period... doesn't have to be because of being on the autism spectrum or some other mental ...

The neandethals may never have gone extinct, just as the dinosaurs are still with us as birds. There's a strong possiblity that homo sapiens neanderthalensis interbred with homo sapiens sapiens, and gave rise to such features as red hair in scots. The people who beleive that stem cell research is w...

I like having a wide variety of music in my collection, & I'd like it to be a greater collection. The problem is I only like music that I know off by heart - lyrics, riffs, lyrics, timing, percussion patterns etc. Hence, every piece of music in my collection, bar a couple of albums that I'm trying t...

It would seem from my serious tone of voice and facial expression that some NTs think I actually expect them to believe some of my absurd jokes and hilarious hypothetical situations. That's nonsense, In simpler terms: It's not funny unless it's known to be bull. Don't they like social unpredictabil...

That's it. I used to come to the rational conclusion that the world can't be full of 4 billion people stupid enough to live for the sake of it, without question or reason. Well, now I might come to the conclusion that the world is like that. Here's a little story that happened, say 20 minutes...

I am supposedly dyslexic, & would say I agree. Unfortunately (or fortunately, perchance), my obsession with having correct spelling & grammar has eluded any dyslexia recognition. Being told to speed read, how can anyone speed read? It's impossible - for me. When I'm not concentrating hard enough, I'...

Deviating ever so slightly from the exact topic, but remaining on topic of CAPD ... Does anyone else ever get it when someone says something about you, perhaps thinking you can't hear, it doesn't register with you, but you "hear" it clearly after a while - say, 20 minutes to an hour? Is this a sympt...
