No. Not at all. I have various forms of internal escapism (which ultimately backfire) but as for an external, organic support system, I have none. |

I think we need more details. What other AS/ markedly not AS traits does he have? I know that I need more information before I can post an opion, and I'd guess that it's the same for some others as well. |

-7.5. Worried, and feeling really autistic. All day really stimmy, less verbal, motor issues, I bumped into things, fell down stairs, writing was uncomfortable, more social issues than normal, and more hypersensitive to stimulation. I toe-walked in shoes, too. I usually only barefoot, cause I don't ... |

-5. School was... bad. I hate transitions. But without the transition stuff, I think my year will probably be about a -7. At school, I was a -10. On the very edge of shutdown, all day. Not that great now, thinking about school, but at least I'm outta there for another 9.5 hours. Cant verbalize very ... |

I have many of the same issues, and I'm starting high school tomorrow (! 8O ) One thing I found helpful: when things became overwhelming in class, I would go the bathroom, set my watch timer for two minutes, and sit down and close my eyes, often rocking. A quiet, two minute break was quite helpful. ... |

I'm not really worried about finding my way around etc., I know the building well and it's a fairly small school. The second I walk in the door I go into overload. I end up walking around like a zombie, trying to keep from shutting down. Being thrown into a mostly new, semi-unstructured environment ... |

From kindergarten to second grade, I played a constant game where I was an alien sent to live among the earthlings. It is how I felt, feel. To do that, I had to study and mimic them, the way they acted and interacted, comunicated. I tried to make my behavior as much like theirs as possible. As I ente... |

I do not maximize my windows unless I am working in a screen-hog like GarageBand or exclusively in a web browser for a long period of time. I will also minimize or hide any window I am not using at the time, hide for an entire app. |

I have a poster of the periodic table that I just put up, and a world map for school, but those are under my bed (loft) where I do my homework, and I don't really see them. On the front of my door I have a whiteboard, and on the back I have a 4 by 5 card that makes me happy. Standing in most places ... |
