I know how you feel, I've felt like that until recently. Ironically, whats given me hope is that there is no meaning. The only thing worth doing is self-realisation, and I'm glad to say I've become more neurotic and ranty is recent weeks, more musically talented, and above all, I LOVE THE ABSURD!! ...

I'm not exactly sure what toe-walking is supposed to mean. Is it synonymous with tip-toeing?

I've been known to walk very quietly and I suppose I tend to tip-toe a bit when walking around, but that's just when I'm goofing around, although I don't do it intentionally.

If they find you going out for walks at 10pm-12am odd, I'm curious as to what they'd think of me. I tend to go out for walks/bike rides anywhere from 12am-5am for about 2-3 hours at a time and sometimes while walking I'll walk the rest of the way home backwards, which takes longer than usual obvious...

This was the exact reason why my first (and only) relationship failed. It took 7 dates and a night in a hotel to realize I didn't know how to talk. It's been 2 years since then and I started to think it had gotten a lot better because I could talk so freely amongst my co-workers. However, I realized...

I tend to feel more comfortable if I'm instant messaging someone, even though I hardly ever use it (logged in 4 times in the past 2 years). I used to do it all the time, but I'd prefer to have a face-to-face conversation because even though I'm terrible at it and end up feeling sh***y afterwards, I ...

I'm not a big fan of reading fiction, so that cuts my potential reading by about 100 or so books. Obviously there are plenty of fiction books that I do enjoy immensely, it's just that there aren't enough that meet my own standards for a good read. Over the past few years I've gravitated more towards...

When I was a kid I was banned from eating in the living room with all the other kids because the adults were afraid I might spill something, so I had to eat at the table by myself.

Fun memories!

Whenever I'm doing or saying something that I find funny, a lot of people will chuckle and ask what kind of drugs I'm on or exclaim to others that "he's so high! ahahahaha" It really gets on my nerves. They don't do this when I adhere to the normal perception of humour with funny one-liners and such...

Yes, my childhood. If anyone thought I was unusual or that there was cause for concern, no one ever told me that. I have very few memories of interacting with other kids (or adults), but I also don't remember anyone being concerned about that. As far as I know, there were no adults standing around ...

I don't know if it's called "driving away" in my case because I just tend to lose contact with people very quickly. If we're not in a social place like school or work, there is very little chance of me getting into contact with them. I used to be anxious with initiating friendships and things to do,...

Sometimes I imagine seeing people I know in public and have in-depth made-up conversations with them to myself even if I don't even know the person that well. Sometimes I end up liking that person a bit more, but when I actually see them I have no idea what to do. Strange.

A roommate went into my room and cleaned every single corner of it without my permission because he was "sick of looking at every time (he) walk(s) by". It was never that messy and no one told him to look inside my room. That was a major breach of privacy and had a significant impact on trust. I sti...

I've always done this, but more so as a child. I had never really thought about it much, but I remember a specific incident from the 2nd grade: I was in a Catholic School (last year there, went to Public School afterwards (not related to story)) and we were walking to church while being accompanied ...

I am a big fan of Andy (What's that? That's Mr. Kaufman, to you!) and am currently on my 2nd reading of Bill Zehme's biography on him (Lost in the Funhouse). Back in 2007, before I even knew about Asperger's or even what was "wrong" with me, I watched the movie Man on the Moon for the first time in ...
