You also have to consider the costs of making that video. How much do you make per thousand views? How much does it cost for a thrift store microwave and a used iPod? How many thousand views will you need to break even on the microwave and iPod, and what do you need to do to earn money once you pay ... |

After being out of work for almost a year, I've found an almost perfect job. I'm working as a copy editor for a publisher of crosswords and puzzle books. The pros: I work mostly independently. I have clearly stated deadlines and priorities. My phone never rings. I share a phone with a part-timer who... |

It's part time freelance work for a publishing company. Once a week, I head in to the office to pick up a stack of submissions for word-find puzzles. I then go home and enter the words from the puzzles into a database from which the actual puzzles will be generated. It seems ideal for me. No phones,... |

With a headline like that, I thought you were going to be cooking meth in your dorm room or selling $5 handjobs.
A typing service?
Don't sweat it. |

I worked there for two winter breaks and one summer break. They had me pushing carts the entire time. The work wasn't bad if the weather was OK. When the weather sucked, all the other cart pushers would call out and I'd be stuck working outside all day in freezing rain. Also, the people driving in t... |

My last job was as a customer service rep for a tile company. I was on a phone queue answering calls from distributors while at the same time I was entering orders that came over the fax, checking orders that came over EDI, and answering emails from my distributors. Also, depending on the distributo... |

I'm 30 years old and have been working at different jobs since I was 15 and took a job washing dishes at a Pizzeria. After several years of dead-end jobs, I went back to school and got a B.A. in History. Most of my pre-college experience was working at various retail jobs at or just above minimum wa... |

I was let go from my job in April for performance issues related to my social anxiety. Since that time, I spent the summer taking care of my two young children (4 and 7) but they are now back in school and I have to resume my job search. I'm so anxious about meeting people that I've made no serious ... |

I was laid off in April. The problem I'm having right now is in finding a position that will pay enough to put two kids (both PDD-NOS) in daycare. So for the summer, I'm "Mr. Mom". After that I have to decide if I want to work something part time so I can see the kids off to school and be home for t... |

The worst job I've had was the one I was laid off from in April. I was doing order entry and customer service for a tile company. I had to constantly interact with customers via phone and email while still trying to enter orders and release truckloads on time. Pay was mediocre, PTO SUCKED. By the en... |

I'm Hagbarthr and new here. My wife, GoddessofSnowandIce, has been a poster here for a while. I'm 29 years old with suspected Asperger's and two kids diagnosed with PDD-NOS. I have a hard time writing about myself. I often find emotions too abstract to put into and have a lot easier time talking abo... |
