Dittos on the self-deprecating humor. My wife hates that I do that.

Other times if it gets bad, I say in my best Schwarzenegger voice "I have Aspergers! Deal with it!"

They don't get it. Oh well.

I honestly don't know. On one hand, I find it fascinating. On the other, I can't get past the makeup-looking like drag queens. I would like to get to know someone like that, maybe even intimately. But alas, I know it'll never happen.

I can tell you that Myspace is the same way . I tried Facebook, and gave up-except for Farmville. For what it's worth, it seems that these social networks are a waste of time and effort. If you don't already have a clique of friends, then it's not a place to find friends. Sometimes a dog or cat can ...

One thought is to not try to impress anybody or try to find a girl or anything like that. Don't look for friends or the like. Just try to relax and let things happen to you for a while. Girls tend to be impressed by those that are not trying to pick them up. Most relationships seem to happen from aq...

This may sound odd, but I've had stuffed animals for as long as I can remember. My dad hated the stuffies I had, going as far as throwing a few of them away. The ones I remember most were a dog named Frumpy, a rabbit I called Furby, and a plastic mouse in a baseball uniform. I had a couple while in ...

I must say that series is well written and well executed. Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is another you might try. The Guild, however, is an excellent series.

It seems to me that a major part is the bully. They get into that alpha male role and abuse that position. They aren't taught to follow the rules society imposes to keep peace. Albeit, the parents have a part to the problem, but if you take a look at the school system, they have a larger part to pla...

That's what I plan to do if I ever get the money. Of course, I'd probably only be able to afford a small Cessna or something like that. I wouldn't be able to clear NYC/LA with it, but I personally think airport-hopping in a smaller plane would be much more enjoyable then dealing with the BS for a c...

Sometimes I get annoyed about that. Being older, I don't say anything about it. As a kid that annoyed me and I'd correct them. That's the best way to lose any friends quickly. The worst is on the radio. There's a flight school in Corvallis with mostly Japaneese students. Their english isn't the best...

One thing to remember is that most of the airports were built in the 50's. This was during an era where flying was mostly for wealthy people. That being said, one thing that may help are maps. Many airports have maps online, and these can be used to plan routes and to find your way. There are also m...

For a lot of people, it's kinda like a rite of passage. The more primative cultures have rites where pain is inflicted. When the event is over, th eadolescent becomes an adult. That may be a reason people get piercings-to go through a rite. In the western culture, these rites of passage are non-exis...

I'm an Air Force brat. One thing I remember very clearly was that when I went to a school on base, I wasn't bullied. Go to a civillian school, then I got beaten and bullied almost every day. My brother was suspended several times for fighting. I think the worst was when I'd ride my motorcycle to sch...

Yeah, he was rude and should have kept his moiuth shut. There are those that think themselves better than others, and they need to be farted upon. Those who need to correct others are a bunch of racistist bigots. Who cares if one eats fast or one food item at a time? I don't! I too have had people c...

If I may add, the anthropogenic stuff is crap. I marvel at the lack of attention that the "skeptical" climate scientists receive when talking about global warming. This leads me to think that the media is over hyping the issue and the IPCC scientists are exploiting governments for more money for res...
