I have a question that I hope someone can please answer. Is it possible to have mild William's syndrome? I know that autism is a spectrum disorder, so someone can be a little autisic or a lot. But with WS, it's a genetic thing. Doctors can take a blood sample to the lab and tell you. But, because of...

I'm in the same situation. From what I've mentioned in other posts, it was brought to my attention many times throughout my life that I may have AS. I have yet to get a formal diagnosis. However I believe I have one of these, in particular order. Asperger's Multiple-complex Developmental Disorder No...

1.) I hear the word. Then I see it in my head.

2.) Swings inward to the left and opens to the right. If that makes sense.

2a) Immediate

2b) I had a clear image.

I've got a couple books about him and old video converted to DVD. Someone mentioned that he seemed as if he was the type that didn't show his true self to people, or what I mean is that he wouldn't want people to see him 'out of character.' However in certain relaxed interviews where friends would f...

Sorry to make one of these threads, but I'm interested in what you all think. Kaufman did infact have a lot of aspie things about him. I'm a big fan, and always thought that it was possible. When I did some research I found that many others have speculated it as well.

So what do you think?

Male pattern baldness has started to become a special interest of mine. It was once believed that mpb was caused by the males on your mom's side of the family. However this is now not believed to be the case. The males on my mother's side all have thick full hair. My dad's side their all bald. So do...

are tics common in AS? because as a child I had a lot, almost mild tourettes I would describe it. I still continue at 20 to have some of the same tics, but for the most part they're gone.

Anyway, yes...is that common and could you give me some examples.

"There is some evidence that as many as 20% of children with AS "grow out" of it, and fail to meet the diagnostic criteria as adults," That's from wikipedia. Now I understand that wikipedia isn't the most reliable source, however I remember reading up on some studies awhile back that said that it's ...

I read that the average IQ is 100. Stephan Hawking has an IQ of 162, Eienstein, 158.
But that may be wrong

Does anyone have a reliable online IQ test?

yeah, regarding the 'sexist' comment. Not at all is that sexist, I was just reading this psychology text book I have lying around and there are actual scienific studies that say men are better in general at mathmatics, spatial stuff, and directions. I'll look it up and post what it says verbatum lat...

Yes, it's a natural high for me. Like after I excercise, and sit in a cool room, air conditioner on, a cold drink in hand. I feel the same way. I usually write posts or emails when listening to music because my head is most clear then. Or, I can space out and listen to the same song until I reach th...

What I itended to say was that you should not give much importance to my opinions.

I just found out the other day what that meant, and just used it in an earlier post. I felt so proud. lol

I don't understand why every time a "do you think I have..." or "I'm getting an assesment" type thread comes up a lot of people ask why. I know not all of you were diagnosed young. Some had to have at one point questioned it themselves, or went to see a specialist. For me personally, I want to get a...

Oh, alright. Well, if you mean avoid info before going like reading up on AS and things of that naure, then no. I assume you don't want to get any "ideas in your head" if that makes sense. Like you said "un-natural" and don't want to come off as if you did some research and something caught your eye...

I'm sorry I just don't understand. What do you mean by an assesment? Like a state funded rehabilition services type thing, where they can help you find a job and help you with 'things' and such?
