Being the victim of both hacking and cyberbullying, I can say quite frankly that we Aspies fall prey to such online threats quite easily. Any one of us who would use such threats themselves to prey on others may very well be preying on people much like himself, and I find that absolutely unforgivabl...

I was first diagnosed with Asperger syndrome when I went to a psychiatrist to rule out bipolar disorder after having been "accused" (for lack of a better term) of having that disorder by many, many people online. The psychiatrist ruled that out almost immediately. Almost as immediately she said I ha...

CONGRATULATIONS!! ! Here's to good trial work time! It always helps me to make a game out of the job as much as possible--even to the point of pretending I'm one of my favorite fictional characters--if the job isn't something I'm really excited about doing.

Have fun!

I don't know when it started, but I've gotten to the point where I neither brush my teeth nor shower unless I'm leaving the house or know that someone is coming to the house to visit. Well...I'm getting better again, but I'm still not very good. Anyway, I drink a lot of Mountain Dew Code Red and reg...

For me, it's simply the sound. I've had songs that at the time they were popular, I had no idea what the song was about but it was my favorite song. I don't care about lyrics. It's strictly what it sounds like. Harmony, melody, quality of vocals, how they blend with the music, etc. Oh, WOW. I was t...

Unfortunately, b9's post really helped boost my memory, so I feel like I'm cheating quite a bit. It's like meeting the man of my dreams Then meetin...

I use a lot of medical jargon instead of layman's terms because I know it from being a transcriptionist. I also talk about things at the table, in restaurants, and in "polite company" that I find fascinating or sad about medicine but others apparently just find gross. I also have an obsession with (...

I scored 32, and I have Asperger syndrome with 2 of the rare opposite ends of the spectrum: I crave affection rather than shy away from it, and I shy away from eye contact rather than make direct eye contact. Also, my specialty is English grammar and punctuation. I absolutely suck at math, logic, an...
