I think we often question why they don't employ us when we could help them be more profitable. But then we're probably disillusioned into thinking that companies we work for what to be as profitable as possible. Well in a sense they do, at the top level. However at the individual level, people are a...

I wish it would be "9 to 5" it always seems to be 40 working hours and assuming 9 to 5 includes an hour for lunch that is only 35. Those extra 5 hours a week burn me out. I do remember when I was driving a cab for a while someone once referred to a "real" job and I told them it is a real job, even t...

It's a long way to come from Australia. Whoever is your advocacy movement over there should deal with it.

If you can tell me who the company is and if they are based near London, we can add them to our invite list.

As someone with a lot of experience in this, I would get yourself diagnosed and tick the box. Having said that, between 1998 and 2001 I didn't tick any boxes and had no diagnosis and never had any major problems at work. But that is because the UK computer contracting market was different then than ...

I think it would really help everyone if people here gave their location by country as the law may vary dependent on where you are. In the UK you would be protected by the Disability Discrimination Act and the employer will need to make reasonable adjustments for you, but that would only really cove...

I have been working in the last few months on the subject of employment issues for people with Aspergers Syndrome. On 31st May I will be hosting a seminar in London with American writer Rudy Simone (who herself has Aspergers) on the subject of "Aspergers On The Job". I am not here specifically to ad...

I am in an aspie/bi-polar relationship (and have been for 12 years). I think it can be quite a common pairing, I've come across a couple of others. I am the aspie of the partnership.

Unlike myself though, Carol doesn't want to go online to meet other bi-polars.

between 8am and 9am would be more fun. You could hold it in the middle of Trafalgar Square whilst watching all the motorcyclists go round causing havoc.

Guys not being able to get a girlfriend is not just an issue of not getting sex, and for me sometimes I would like to have more female friends but I don't want to have sex with them.

There is often an assumption that that is all we are after.

Do "nice guys" finish "last" with regards to proper relationships or going out trying to "pull"?

The problem is that the stereotypical way to attract a woman is not something that is natural to a "nice guy".

Most of the nice guys do end up getting married though.

Religion is part of my lifestyle and dictates many things about what I do. I could go on a date with a non-Jewish woman but we would not be able to go out on the Sabbath and I would not be able to eat non-kosher. So whilst that might work on a date or two, it wouldn't really be good foundation for a...

How I met S/O is quite strange actually because it was a general social meet-up and I went with another woman at the time who was going through a divorce, and she and I were good friends. She told me to go out to this because it would be something to do so I went and met my S/O there. This in March ...

The police in the USA are obviously alert to the danger of someone entering a school with a gun to go on a shooting spree and obviously must take any alert seriously. What we need to ascertain is what happened exactly when Neli was asked to be searched. Lucky that this officer was only armed with pe...

The only thing that makes me lonely and isolated is the attitude of others who isolate and exclude me because I don't use their body language. I am looking for tolerance and a feeling of inclusion. It would be nice if they actually consulted me a bit more about what I want and what would work well f...
