Sadly, I have the opposite problem. I don't know when to shut up. I'm so nervous about the silence because I know you're "supposed" to say "something" and I never know what to say so I ramble.

@ Kat15
You could be wrong but I've heard that before from people who would know for sure.... so it's probably true.
Although that accounts for today's puberty boom, I wonder about those that have it inherited... would they start at age 3 now?? |

LOL everyone's worse nightmare. I have to say, the most creepy aspect about the video was the mother. Any parent would know just to close the door and pretend nothing happened, not stand for a couple of minutes lecturing to a child about how great it is that they're masturbating.... I wonder why th... |

i do not understand the video.what was he doing wrong? He wasn't doing anything wrong. He was masturbating. His mother walked in on him. This was a PSA on how to talk to young boys about masturbating so as not to give them a complex about it. So they say. Call me stupid, but I don't know what that ... |

I do, all the time. I was reminded of this just last night. Hubby and I spent some time playing cards. We don't talk when we play cards really. Unless it's to discuss the game we're playing... or something comes up. It's weird...in a way. Felt awkward to me. We watched a movie last night afterward, ... |

hi, I'm an Aspie myself. I don't remember myself but mum recalls that the first time I mentioned that I want to kill myself is when I was six. At 15 I was diagnosed depression. Although with years of treatment, the depression seems to get better, but those suicidal thoughts has never really left me... |

Thank you! I hate to say that i'm glad someone else is going thru this also, but it helps to know I'm not alone. I will save your e mail and write you later (it's 1:12 am and I know the kids will be up early in the morning). Are you going to home school this coming year? I did his 2nd and 3rd grade... |

Sad to say, but I know exactly what you are talking about. My oldest son, T, is 11 now. He'll be 12 on August 26. He first attempted suicide at age 3 by wrapping the sleaves of a sweatshirt around his throat and pulling as tight as he could.. that's how I found him when I brought his juice to him...... |

I didn't ever get this from my parents or siblings. It was extended family members personally. It used to upset me, too. But I realized there will ALWAYS be people out there who think they know better for me, that are contradictory and ridiculous. I don't know how, but I just let it all go. It stopp... |

There are questionnaires as well as interviews. And most AS tests are done on children not adults from all that I've read. Us adults are pretty much ignored unless we have kids suspected to be on the spectrum. Then they want to know and they ask questions about your childhood to decide if you are AS... |
