My vote goes to N64 because it had all the best games- LoZ: Ocarina of Time, LoZ: Majora's Mask, MarioKart 64, Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Kirby 64 and the Crystal Shards, Donkey Kong 64, etc. The GameCube and Wii don't have such a large selection of classic games, even though I like Brawl a lot. ...

I'll admit it -- I was a Nintendo fanboy growing up. No Sega products. I never align myself to any company, I get what I want regardless of the console. Also: Master System > NES Ha Ha welcome back to the 1980s! The cold war was not the only one on people's minds That said, with the release of the ...

Bad reporting, and an uninformed public that just thinks anything wrong with computers is a virus. I remember people thinking they were safe from the Millennium bug because they used Macs. My mom used to be a Cobol hacker, so she had plenty of work back in the 90s. Now that they've fixed it, though...

I am offended by the show's realistic depiction of British life.

Whatever just have whatever avatar you want as long as it isn't this:

The series is fantastic. Other people my age ask WTF I'm doing, and the best explanation I can give is that if you look past the "kid's game" generalization, you're left with a good 8/16-bit era RPG. The same people who pan Pokémon are the ones who love Earthbound, Final Fantasy pre-FFVII, Dragon W...

Why do so many non-tech people think it was a virus?

I still don't get this at all...

Was it the news outlets' bad reporting at the time or what?

I don't remember much from the months coming up to it, too busy doing exams in school...

Those things had some seriously insance specs for back in the day, and they would still be perfectly adequate general-u...

Aren't the root DNS servers under U.S. control - meaning that the President of the United States could possibly shut down the DNS system, not the internet per se? Yes the majority of root DNS servers are in the US, but the internet due to it's nature is adaptive, thus a simple work of rerouting tra...

I think it's a common trait in many humans that they feel a deep need to overlay reality with such things as a means to act as a buffer for the harshness of the world. One can see that rituals honoring the dead have evolved hand in hand with religion over the Millenia, suggesting that organised reli...

If a character has AS, they have AS. It's not a matter of what the creator intends. It's a matter of the function of the character's brain, but it's still a physiological difference. It's in that character's DNA. Again a deep misunderstanding of the nature of medical diagnosis, Aspergers for exampl...

I think there are enough people out there like this who want to pinpoint exactly where reality is for the sheer sake of running as precisely in the opposite direction as possible. Especially with some people who are fighting enough depression, they may almost need to if they don't want to be fittin...

Keep in mind that just because a creator doesn't intend for a character to have AS doesn't mean they don't. Just because the creator is ignorant of the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum doesn't mean that they can't accidently create a character that is on that end. That's disobeying a pri...

Humanity defines the definition of what "Odd" and "Even" are, due to the nature of language "0" could just as easily be defined as Pi.This is simply answered with the statement: it is what humanity makes it.

I should say that she is quite religious. She doesn't actually adhere to her religion (Christianity) in any way that I can discern, but she is very "preachy" about it, especially to me. I'm sure this is tied in with her magic clouds. I can understand looking for shapes in the clouds and seeing them...
