I hate living with a mother who has been depressed all her life and beleives in New Age s**t like crystals and can't possibly believe that she could benefit from help for her depression. I hate the fact it means I can never bring friends around to my house because my mother might do something stupid... |

Thanks for the replies. I posted this on a down of a mood swing, so it's probably a bit too negative than I am generally. I'm primarily pissed off and exhausted due to dealing with college and a lack of friends. I generally get on with my mother, I'm happy living with her usually. I want to magic up... |

I'm 16 male and Aspie. I used to be very intelligent, but now I feel like I've forgotten how to be intelligent. I was bored and bullied most of early school, and in secondary I was bored and the teachers didn't care about AS or about the mental health of their students. At home I had a half-mad moth... |

I just left school for 11-16, now at 2-year college courses. I absolutely hated school, even though it got some of the best grades in the country (the UK). None of the teachers or pupils seem to really know how to care about each other or be friends, and most of the stuff I "learnt" was meaningless ... |

I was wondering how Aspies and co define a friend to them. What does someone need to do or be in order to be a good friend to you? |

I went to one of the best (grade-wise) grammar schools in the UK, and I hated it. People there are all too manipulative and the teachers and staff aren't particularly friendly. meh. |

How are you actually addicted? I find it very hard to give up breathing and I would suffer serious withdrawal symptoms if I did. Are you masturbating so much your hand is going septic or something? |

I was just about to make a topic on pretty much the same topic. I think I understnd what you're going through as well, maybe. I find in college it's very difficult to make friends, because you don't often actually see people outside of lessons, you can't make any kind of significant relationships wi... |

I recently left school for college, and I can use my energy and intelligence to get through the day, but it's always tiring and I'd much rather not have to bother with any interaction with the other pupils. It is more tolerence than anything else I find- an irritation by any other name is still an i... |

In the UK, the Education Act 1996 states children between 5 and 16 are of "compulsory school age". However, in case you did not know, this does not mean compulsory school. I present section 7: 7 Duty of parents to secure education of children of compulsory school age The parent of every child of com... |
