The fact that we let 3 people infected with Ebola into the country makes me feel embarrassed for the people who's job it was to keep the virus out. Other countries are temporarily halting entrance to people flying in from Africa. How the mighty have fallen. I only hope that his does not spread and b...

A joke... a joke that beheads people and video tapes the act for the world to see? Not a very good joke, imo. If the US is truly behind their formation, then would that make the US joke as well? Or a very dangerous player in this world war game? Either of those possibilities makes me nervous. Knowin...

Which religion are we referring to here... I'm assuming the western religions. Buddhism is referred to as the science of the mind. The Buddha has stated that if science comes out with information that refutes the current teachings of Buddha, then the teachings must be changed. The goal of Buddhism i...

The elections are just for show. Whomever is elected President will do what must be done and not make any really important decisions on his/her own. We as Americans are tricked into following the two party system when candidates like Ron Paul, a libertarian, are kept out of preliminary debates inten...

A woman (compared to a man) has more reproductive value. That being said, a man has to work harder to get the attention of a woman than vice versa. If a woman were to ignore a man's advances, he'd be wise to move on to a woman that he believes wants his company. A woman who is just playing the field...

I told my mother that I suspected I had Aspergers when I was 16 after dealing with anxiety, depression, and isolation for as long as I could remember. She is unable to see her children as anything but what she wants them to be, so she refuses to this day to justify my self-diagnosis. My father doesn...

The first time I saw him I thought he looked like my boyfriend (also aspie), and I thought why does he look so friendly... haha I should've known he has Aspergers - when my mom told me that explained everything :)

I've always had changing interests/obsessions over the years, but right now I have nothing. Nothing seems to spark my interest, and everything seems like a waste of time. Nothing is bringing me joy, and I just feel uneasy. I don't feel full of sadness, but rather void of all emotion. Is that what de...

So basically, it dispels minor aspects of the stereotype while supporting the main body of it by demonstrating the stereotypical vegan arrogance, snobbiness and percieved superiority with every word. Vegans "don't torture animals to have fun". Yes, those evil people who aren't vegans torture animal...

Simply: Yea My mom's a narcissist and I won't be able to know myself until I move out. Her presence is so overpowering that I can't think clearly when she's home (which is 24/7). When someone's hurting or excited (why I love concerts) I feel their emotions too. Though... I can't verbalize this well ...

Yea of course I would if the topic came up. It's akin to saying that I love cooking, I'm a quiet person, I love concerts... I mean it's just a word that encompasses a wider variety of traits that describe me. The people I'd tell probably already know how I am to some degree and I'd just be giving th...

I dont really feel like this but we all change as we grow in different ways. Ive seen peers younger then me, grow up quicker or feel like Im immature then my peers. Back in HS, I was super awkward and serious at the same time. I became a much funner person by the time I got to college because I had...

So... I have this friend that I have nothing in common with and all we do is small talk. Now, I hate small talk and don't enjoy hanging out with her anymore. Every time I try to slowly stop talking to her she has a melt down and panics because she is a dependent person. She just broke up with her bo...

I get this feeling like I have to run away. If the over stimulation continues for a long time I tend to shut down and stop thinking in reality. I can see what's happening but I'm really detached. Sometimes I'll feel detached for days before I get a chance to cool down.
