I have the same problem. Just say 'no thanks', don't give them any reasons or information, because they'll then just try to overcome them to make you do what they want. Each time say 'no' again and keep walking or hang up. Pressuring people when they've already said no is extremely rude, so that me...

Partially related incident, or maybe just a related story in public. My son was maybe 2 years old and was VERY prone to slamming his head into the nearest immovable object if he felt the SLIGHTEST bit stressed/bothered/forced against his will/ etc. We were at a VERY VERY VERY crowded diner for break...

Though it's not quite the same perspective... My son has a more prominent AS than I do, and when he was between 1 and 3 years old he would be very dramatic in public (clearly the overload of noise and people caused this) but I never apologized for him to anyone... BUT... You should have seen how man...

NTs are considered "normal" coz they form the majority of the world population, which sucks for us. Yes, we are a bit superficial in how to approach people too (prefer no Banter and all that illogical crap). But based from experience, I'm sure that we give them way more chances than they give us, e...

You sound too aggressive and bitter to be one full of "positive experiences"". And you haven't yet proven me wrong, by the way. I would choose the word "Assertive" more than aggressive. I can't understand why anyone needs to be proven right or wrong on this thread at all, is this not a discussion f...

You call 20 years of abuse a "positive experience"? 8O And that was your own mother... Are you saying a person can't learn from suffering how to overcome something? Are you saying that something so impacting as one's parent can't show a person how to better live their life even if it's by learning ...

Thanks everyone for the ideas. My son seems to like to use phrases for their "gross out" impact, and I think he does it in part to shut me up or control me. For example, he is lapsing into poor hygiene mode this summer, refusing to shower for days. When I hassle him about it, I get the "penis" and ...
