I have suicidal thoughts ALL the time, I acknowledge them, then I try to do something else. Honestly, if I killed myself now, It wouldn't make the world a better place. But it wouldn't be a worse off place either. I'm not special, or "evil", or anything different (in the long run) from the other bil...

I'm depressed because I have no skills that apply to modern society, and my conversation skills are abysmal. But I also wonder if I'm not depressed at all, and merely accepting that I have deep flaws in a society where being different is bad. Am I sick, or are they sick?

It hurts all the time, you just have to grow a thicker skin with time or avoid talking to people. I'm sure the people in my building think I'm a dick by not talking to them, but I'm really trying not to have my feelings smashed to pieces. I can shrug off rudeness well now, but the people that avoid ...

I would have been much more rude about it. I think you did fine. Some people just don't recognize that their not the center of the world.

My aunt does that all the time to me so I just stopped seeing her. Haven't seen her in two years. To me friendship earned is more important than blood ties. I've cut off huge parts of my family, but am practically family with my friend's relatives.

Before you go out, learn how to cook. I was very underweight for my height until I went home and had my mother teach me two years ago. Do not be afraid of vegetables, they are cheaper than fast food. If all you could afford was vegetables, you would not die of malnutrition. Even if they have to be d...

I exercise until my body is tired enough to ignore my brain and go to sleep, or watch a TV show with a really convoluted plot to confuse my mind long enough to fall asleep. most of the time my mind is at fault for keeping me awake and I basically have to trick it or become physically exhausted in su...

I knowingly mimicked people that were accepted by others through out all of school. I would have never had friends today if I wasn't mimicking, but I'm trying to stop it now. Three years ago I was at a party and I was friends with three entirely different people that coincidentally showed up at the ...

When you check your watch for when it's okay to transition from "good morning" to "good day" to "good evening" as a parting phrase. Yes, there IS specific times at which it changes. Maybe the world will implode if I use good morning at 4 in the afternoon, either way I don't want to find out.

The world seems to hate everyone regardless of any factor, might as well be hated as you were made instead of pretending.

I did pass most of the tests but I turn into a nervous wreck whenever I'm on a real road with other real drivers. To be honest I was pushed into learning how to drive by my parents when i just turned legal. I'm guessing they didn't enjoy carting me around. I just walk everywhere now, and when I get ...

I always assumed that the s**t ton of aspies being born at one time (late 80's to early 90's) is what made autistic folk like childish things. at one point most of the first to second wave of aspies/auties were teenagers and teenagers are magnetized to anime like men are to exploding micheal bay fil...

I'm pretty much socially ret*d but I wouldn't give it up because with all my problems, I have awareness. I read about and feel for things happening to people all around the planet and I'm brightly sharply aware of my existence as not being the center of the universe. Most normals are so damn shallow...

I'm not 100% on how far down the scales aspergers is but i still get overload fueled tantrums that are very hard to prevent. but if i can help it, i won't tell someone i have aspergers to elevate my social standing over all. I'm not going to deny it if someone confronts me, but i'm not advertising i...
