I saw the screening of ADAM last night. I must say, I was honestly expecting it to be the usual troubled boy meets girl, girl and boy fall in love, they fight and drift apart because they're stubborn, boy and girl get back together, kiss kiss, hug hug, happy story, end movie. Thankfully, I was pleas...

I've experienced this often. In night terrors, nightmares and dreams, be it torture, sensual or just plain....strange.
I don't know if it's an Aspie/Autie trait, though it could be, seeing as it's a sensory thing, and Aspies/Auties have sensory issues.

Perhaps if you try that, without speaking to her too much to tell her you're leaving her room until she's calm, that may help shorten and ease her meltdowns. Afterwards, when she's calm, maybe the t...

Why the apology?
No offense taken or meant. My Aspie boyfriend thinks the same of such things.

BDD-Body Dysmoprhic Disorder What's that? Basically, no matter what positive thing or compliment one is told-or how often-about their body/looks, one is never satisfied and imagines that they are far worse than anyone else does. Imagine looking into a fun-house mirror-those with BDD seem to have an...

I sometimes get the full body tics, as well as smaller ones [head and shoulders, one arm, leg, foot, etc], though very, very few have ever been accompanied by thoughts that would understandably cause them. However, I'm not really worried about seeing a doctor about them. They aren't dangerous to me ...

 oh, no,no,no,no,no! I rarely find myself attractive, and can't possibly begin to understand why people say I am. I'm quite guilty of having BDD...years of dance and gymnastics, I suppose. One can never be "perfect" [what a truly horrid word....] in reference to physical beauty when it comes t...
