I am in no doubt that I am AS, but have been refused a diagnosis by several psychologists and psychiatrists, on the most spurious of grounds. However, when I went to the National Autistic Society (UK) for an autism alert card they gave me one without even bothering to look at my psychologist's repor...

Thank you for those comments. What a lot of sense. I must get hold of Attwood's book. I'm one of those refused diagnosis, I'm sure for these reasons.

Thank you, Williamson, for your tip about searching for other cases on the internet. I did the same thing, and eventually came up with a huge amount of information on the plight of people suffering from ME, around the world but particularly in the UK. I was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis i...

Oh, sometimes I just sit and giggle...adding eggs, protein powder, or wholegrain flour to her pancakes...silly people! Don't you know that some kids will then refuse to eat the one thing that they would once willingly eat? LOL! What I learned from my daughter is don't change a food she is willing t...

You claim to be a military aircraft mechanic. That's quite a male occupation for a woman.

I think we have to be careful not to make the mistake of seeing AS as just a problem with socialising. That would just be shyness. The "symptom" of difficulty with social communication means as opposed to pragmatic communication. That includes any kind of interaction that doesn't use factual languag...

As well as egg in the pancakes, make them with wholemeal flour, then they'll be a healthy carbohydrate to start the day on. Have you tried putting a selection of raw/healthy foods on the table to choose from? Try not to say anything - just return anything not eaten to the fridge. Don't "mix things u...

I've read your latest response, Allen. I don't get what's not understandable about what I've said. 1) You've mentioned that three barristers think you have a case. Okay, great! Why won't one of them take it? It's because of money, right? I've said as much. See my previous posts. 2) You need a lawye...

This, and worse, happened to me and my children when they were quite young. The police took the offender's side, and even lawyers and a court case didn't help, so we moved house. It all starts again wherever we move to, so we've given up moving! Sometimes, standing up to them is important.

Quack. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be some sort of analogy about Mallards and female Asperger's.... I'm not sure I agree with it, because I'm not sure that female Asperger's looks as differently as people keep trying to force it to be.... there are males who present in the style that is cal...

Here is a question for the scientific researchers. "Biologists have discovered two new species of duck. One is brown with a bright green head, while the other is mostly just brown. Strangely, the first species produces only males, and the second only females. How do we explain this?" (Metaphor borro...

I cannot believe what I've been reading in the latest on this thread! Your alleged shortcomings in AVs actions are all well-documented features of AS! NTs believe that AS is an emotional/behaviour problem which we need to be forced to change. The reality is that we are evolutionally incapable of cer...

I am still searching the web for other listings. I don't want to lose sight of why I started to search the web in the first place - to find others with similar experiences, uncover common factors, and work out what might be effective in dealing with such situations. I can't believe there arent othe...

Why don't you apply for political asylum? I doubt if any country would accept that people from the UK might need political asylum. From what I've read on WP and elsewhere there isn't a country in the world which doesn't seriously abuse Asperger people. And anyway why should I let the UK away with i...

I've just seen your video "5th March 2012 our response to distressing news that U tube remove vital 22 12 2011 MIND RETHINK". You and your Mum come across as intelligent, genuine and definitely NOT crazy. Don't listen to your detractors. All that paperwork you're being sent is nothing short of abuse...

Two points. 1. Censorship? on the web. As I mentioned before I have been searching the web intensely for listings of state persecution in the UK. Google comes up initially with millions of entries. Using the advanced search, whittling out unwanted listings, I managed to get the list down to 6,000+,...
