I've been thinking about the MMR debate... Knowing about the effects of mercury poisoning, I don't think the trace amounts of mercury are responsible, it's an impossible conclusion that obviously wasn't proven true. It wouldn't matter to me anyway, I had measles at four weeks of age and wasn't given...

Apology accepted and no offence taken.

My Father always seemed to treat me like an adult when my Mother wasn't in hearing range. He understood me in a strange way and knew that I was responsible and sensible. My Mother, well, all I can say about her is that it's hell raising some parents. Even as a child, I always felt like I was the adu...

With all due respect -- I prefer my eggs boiled, or scrambled, or poached, or fried, without any extra wriggling protein, thank you.

I once had a job peeling boiled eggs. I stood at a metal sink in a cold room, with a dozen other people, wearing a rubber apron, knee high rubber boots, and rubber gloves with an endless supply of boiled eggs wich had to be peeled with both hands for up to 12 hours a day and you were timed on how ma...

Meetings are slow death... usually with tea and dry biscuits provided to prolong it. Most of the time I'm waiting for everyone else to come to the logical conslusion that I reached in the first two minutes and 27 seconds. The rest of the time I'm watching the clock and ignoring the pointless debate ...

Life may be difficult -- and some days are beyond difficult -- but I'm determined to live my life, not convince myself that I can't.

Does the Golden Wall on Minn. Ave. in Sioux Falls still serve fried rice as good as it was in the late 90's. I miss it. We'd always stop there after a day at the mall with the in-laws. If I recall, there was a particularly good craft store in the area... was it Michael's? We used to make the So Daki...

I have no degree, barely finished high school, live in a foreign country, have never had enough experience for any job I've applied for, and have changed career paths several times just because I was bored. I'm employed full time and have been for 25 years without any unintentional gaps. My colleagu...

You might be an aspie if: You played 'Yellow Submarine' on your phonograph (it was 1972!) so many time you wore out the grooves on the record... and you still play it on your MP3 player. Your very best friends all had four legs and we not necessarily all mammals. You were obsessed with carrying eart...

I get this so well. I've always been about as subtle as a house brick thrown with great force. Honest to a fault, but not exactly tactful. So often I just wish I could freely indulge myself and say exactly what I think... and then leave the wounded to lay where they fell... instead of vainly trying ...

I live with two cats. I prefer their company to human company in every way. I've lived with animals of some description all my life and find their more basic interaction helps me to unwind after being around people. Even those cats whose owners say will not socialize with strangers will come up to m...

I've always associated music, numbers, and patterns with feelings. Some numbers, music, and patterns are good and I like to repeat them, or see them, or hear them over and over again. Some are not and I avoid them. I have been known to play the same song dozens of time over and over again just becau...

Hmmm... I was always told I am an old soul... but picture a 40 something professional with ripped jeans, pink crocs covered in flower jibbitz, t-shirt with a sarcastic saying and it just looks weird. Feels right though. When I have my hair dyed ginger, and you take into account the glorious fact tha...

I would hire as many AS people as I could find. Just imagine... an office where no one makes small talk around the water cooler. I have worked in customer services and though my phone manner may not have been as easy and flowing as my colleagues, the clients and customers loved the fact that I alway...
