Until he was 3.5 my son (now 4.5) had to fall asleep with one hand wrapped in my hair. He had a very specific way that he wound his hand into it. It was like his security blanket.

I have no advice as I am brand new to this. I just wanted to say thanks for posting this because it explains why my son does things like this. I didn't understand why he would get mad at an object and yell at it when I *think* he knows it's just an object. Now I understand a little better.

he has Aspergers? My son is 4 and will be starting PPCD pre-k in a couple of weeks. I think he needs to know but how can he possibly comprehend this info at his age?? TIA!!

My oldest son (now 4) did everything early. He rolled over at 2 months, crawled at 4.5 months, got teeth at 5 months, cruised at 7 months, walked and ran at 9 months. But he did not speak an actual word until he was 2.5 and finally spoke broken sentences at 3 years. (He talked gibberish constantly!)...
