Anorexia Nervosa is NOT a lifestyle. It a real disease which people of all ages are dying from day after day. Whether they be 4 or 74. I don't wish to be one of them, so I am fighting for my life back one moment at a time. I don't even wish to read her blogs. |

This goes the other way. I've never had cancer myself (though its still in the back of my mind), however I went through the whole ordeal with my dad a few years ago. All 10 months of it and I really grew up in that short amount of time. I still am softspoken, but when he needed help, I stepped up an... |

That's good to know! However this happened to me just the other day, but in an email. I just deleted it, as I always do with emails and names I don't know. Nobody but me has control over that off of WP. A shame too. |

Depending on the location of the scars (mine are on my left forearm and shoulder), most don't notice since they're slowly fading away with time. However I use Palmers Vitamin E, but really wanna try Bio-Oil (I heard it works wonders!! !) Before my parents found out when I was 16, I hid them by weari... |

Everyone else summed it up pretty well. I was in one since they had an eating disorders program, but it felt like being in prision. All day everyday, we'd eat, have group and eat again. The windows have bars on them and all sharps are kept away from you, whether you have a problem with them or not. ... |

My mom was overprotective before finding out I had Aspergers and still is. She's even afraid of me being abducted these days or lured in to some sickos place. She was protective of my two older siblings, but more so of me since I was diagnosed at 6 with being developmentally delayed. With that said,... |

When you do decide to work, your employer doesn't need to know about your mental health. There's no law that says you HAVE to disclouse that you have autism, depression, & ocd. That's none of their buisness. I never told my last employer about my Aspergers or depression. One is never too young f... |

Wearing makeup is highly overrated. I only wear it for special occassions and even then I hate wearing it. Anyone and everyone can be pretty without wearing any makeup. I don't wear any at all and I still feel pretty. I too look way younger than I actually am. Everyone thinks I'm either still in hig... |

Like you, I don't shave my legs in the winter unless I have to dress up for something. However, I hate it when the hair is so long that it rubs the pant legs of my pajama bottoms, then I HAVE to shave. I can't handle that feeling. Totally off, but having my nails filed when I go out to get a mani or... |

AS @ 21, would've loved to have known earlier, though it didn't exsist till 1994. Before they said I had ADD and then that got ruled out and was just developmentally delayed. |

What about community college? Its cheap, ANYONE can attend (regardless of how old you are), plus they have learning centers and services for people with all sorts of disabilities. I went to one and had help when and where I needed it. I use to volunteer in a daycare center and the director loved me.... |

I'm super sensetive to some medications. Last fall I took Amoxicillian longer than usual since I was so sick and broke out in hives from head to toe. One psych med made me hallucinate (saw water coming out of the wall) and I went off it the next day (by order of medical doctor) since it also made me... |

I cannot wear them at all and the last time I tried, I was 14. Having my first pelvic exam was extremely painful too, I cringed the entire time. But then again, maybe that's because I'm still a virgin?? |
