Thanks for the suggestions. Those sound like fun things to do. I am not sure if I am brave enough to try alligator, hehe. I wouldn't rule out heading up to Lafayette during a weekend.

This summer, I have an internship at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. I am from Massachusetts, so it is quite a distance. The internship is going to be a lot of fun and being away from home for 10 weeks will be a good way to break out of my comfort zone. I can imagine that I am going to want to ...

Right now, I am a senior in high school. I only have just over 2 months left of school. I am looking forward to college, but lately I have been wondering if I am going to miss the high school era of my life. Do Aspies generally have a better experience in high school or college? Thank you in advance.

Well, I copied and pasted it. Sorry, I didn't fix the format. On the document, it is divided neatly into paragraphs though. Are there any other impressions from the essay?

My college essay is almost done, I only have a few more things to add or modify. I am looking for some opinions-with the topic, content, and grammar. Nobody is immune from challenges; everyone has to face some challenges. For some, challenges serve as motivation, and for others it serves as discoura...

I usually practice-test. For example, if I need to remember information for Cisco ITE; I will fold my study guide along the middle (separating the question and answer). Then I will read through the questions and think what the correct answers are to myself. So if the question is "What is the BIOS?",...

Thank you everyone, I appreciate the feedback. Right now, I do have a job working with middle schoolers after school. The job is challenging (in a good way), and my bosses and co-workers are great. So I am really lucky to have that, and I feel like I am learning valuable skills. Unfortunately, this ...

Interestingly enough, I had a heart murmur as a baby. I was born with a hernia. My appendix also had to be taken out as a baby. Luckily I don't have those problems today. Still, I am not sure if there is a connection with Autism.

When you became an adult, how did you manage the responsibilities of life? First of all, did you have a job to pay for necessities? Were you in college? I am 17 right now, and I am unsure of how I will live in less than a year. I am determined not to have to take Disability or any other form of gove...

If you were to ask different people that I know in school, you would probably get varying answers. They would most likely be some of the following: Social Awkwardness Failure to show much emotion (I have a monotone voice and flat face) Tendency to be quiet often My ineptitude for sports (I am lucky ...

Yes, sometimes that happens to me. Usually, it is when I am kind of nervous and I will start out talking loud. A couple of weeks ago, I was having a driving lesson and I started talking to my driving instructor (loud)... he jumped! Also, when I am talking to someone privately, I notice that they wil...
