I used to have a collection of Electrolux vacs, eight or ten of them, but my dear wife got tired of them taking up space in our cottage. Now I use a vita-vac, a great machine that, alas, is no longer being made.It is very well made and designed. |

I sleep with 'mousey-bear' under the pillow and have a collection of mice on a shelf, several bears, and a saber-toothed woodchuck my wife made for me. Kinda embarrassing for a 60-year-old male to admit, but there you have it, lol. |

Welcome, I'm new here too, 61, and a fellow traveler who took a bit longer to realize some behaviors only seemed to address the symptoms but, in fact, deepened the distress. I hope you find comfort on this forum. |

Welcome John; I like trance music, too, but just download streams from Shoutcast, so I don't know too much about the individual artists. I wonder why trance isn't more popular with aspies, I rarely see it mentioned on these boards. |

It's been a rocky road for me but I've learned to adapt over time and am relatively c... |

I don't have AS, but my wife does & I am a "retired" drinker. 12+ years sober. I was in the same hole as you. You know what I found? That going out to bars just wasn't as much fun or even as interesting when I was sober. In fact, bars are usually full of loud jackasses who are not as nearly as ... |

I had a severe drinking problem. The turning point for me was when my girlfriend looked at me and said: "you are an alcoholic." Plain and simple, no guilt trips, no expectation, just a statement of fact that I could take or leave as I saw fit. |
