You have to find ‘the right people’ to hang out with, people with the same kinds of interest, with a similar education level, or appropriate intellect. I’ve had issues finding people that ‘match’ what I need in a conversational partner all of my life, and have an IQ a bit higher than yours, so I cer... |

I shrug it off, but I've thought, "Gee, what was that person's problem? They think I'm too far beneath them to be acknowledged?" Imagine if you had been communicating with someone on a non-verbal level and they never responded or acknowledged you? I’ve always assumed it was that. When someone who i... |

I have some borderline savant skills. One in particular I rely on for employment, it really is the only reason my ‘other stuff’ is tolerated. I ‘just know’ how mechanical systems operate, and when, how, where, why things aren’t working properly. So, I troubleshoot on a different level than anyone el... |

I think the string of words "War on drugs" is an idiotic string of words. Unless we are talking about the repercussions of soldiers in battle fighting while under the influence of drugs, then fine. If it is referring to the governmental effort to restrict or prohibit the sale and use of drugs, then ... |

They are using false logic. Probably this is intuitive for NTs. It seems a common enough occurrence. If it is “generally practical” or “often close enough” then the logic is sound to them. But I’m not sure they would even regard the process of coming to their conclusions as dictated by any sort of l... |

Thanks guys, it's nice to have people who understand. Moreover, people are blaming me for "letting her fall in love" with me. This girl is a grown woman, am I supposed to police everyone's feeling when they interact with me? I don't understand why people are angry at me when I did nothing wrong. My... |

This part specifically, is what MDMA helped me with very much so after just a couple sessions with it. LSD and psilocybin played a major roll in this as well, but MDMA is what initially opened my eyes up to A LOT about my self, others, and how I interact....not just while under the influence of it,... |

All of this is opinion, my opinion: People with ASD very often have distinct facial features unique to the spectrum, all of which are "young" traits. People with ASD tend to express less emotions, thus less wear on the facial skin. There is likely a case to be made that people with ASD get less sun ... |

I can feel sounds, physical-like sensation... not the vibration self either, that is separate. I can see some kinds of sound in vague shapes of color dancing about, to really see it though I have to close my eyes or focus really hard on it. Ephemeral. I too have had some weird sensory crossovers whi... |

Just respond to "It's all in your mind" with "Yes, as is all subjective experience". Done. Color, an example brought up earlier in the thread, is also a figment of the mind. There is no such real thing as blue. That is simply how our minds interpret signals it receives, from sensors in our eyes that... |

My sensory issues seem to swing drastically, really. On a very rare but extremely good day, I could walk down the street a la the NT experience of the last video. On those good days, the cosmic brightness dial is turned way down! And I wouldn’t need sunglasses even at noon. Unfortunately... far, far... |

I'm known for philosophizing. Whether true of aspies in general is of course a good question. I'm inclined to suspect so, many of the conversations I've had here, and out in life, with other aspies has had a certain philosophical bent. Often overtly, but even on more mundane topics, the tone is stil... |

I can identify Marshall. It has taken me quite a long while to piece together what is going on with me, mostly through trial by fires... but I've come to understand what is happening very clearly. I am hyper self aware, continuously self monitoring thoughts and senses, always "in the moment" and ref... |
