Think about these questions, and then decide for yourself.. Do you stop at crosswalks to let people cross the street? Do most people stop at crosswalks? If you are at a crosswalk (with a stop/go light for pedestrians) do you wait for the GO light to cross, or do you just cross when it's convenient? ...

Growing is probably one of the more suitable jobs for adult aspies with social problems, very solitary and secretive but a lot of earning potential. If only it were legal  I've actually read that there are many doctors that think marijuana can change the connectivity in the brain and that is p...

So I stopped scheduling meeting and things, and just kind of draift around and let things happen so I don't have to deal with the frustration. Luckily it works.. It does help a lot to just try to avoid plans for me as well... unfortunately, it's hard to stay in that mindset, and I'll find myself ma...

With things in my house I don't think I really change things to much, but I'm not home much so there isn't alot of time for it. I do have crazy spontaneous ideas to change things once in a while. I decided I should get rid of my old 1 car shed/garage and build a new 2 car garage, so I started to tea...

I think pot is a good thing. I personally have smoked almost every day for 15 years now. I'm not lazy, I have been with the same company for 13+ years, am very successful professionally.. What it really does is helps emphasize things that are already there, and in the case of being lazy it can help ...

I don't dance in public.. unless I've been drinking! I don't ask whoever is driving the car to pull over so I can get out and puke.. unless I've been drinking! I don't worry what people think about who I am or how I act WHEN I am drinking.. So for me there are good and bad things that come from it.....

Have any of you ever looked back on high school days and thought that it wasn't as bad as it 'should' be for someone with AS? Only then to realize it was because you were using marijuana and alcohol to self-medicate? Just wondering.. I have plenty of the 'bad' memories of being left out and not part...

I have recently gone 99% vegan, no mean, dairy, eggs, etc.. all whole food, plant based diet.. I loved meat, and I'm sure I still would if I ate it. It was a natural progression over a few years time that led to the change, but I also read a few books and watched documentaries, etc.. and that helped...

I misse my dogs too, they're always there to say hello when I get home and don't care what I h...

thanks everyone for the replies. I have laughed, cried, and so many other things in-between reading them. (If you want to know more just ask!). I'm looking to get other peoples thoughts about when you realized that AS was a part of your life. I'm 33 and recently realized it is part of who I am and have had so many thoughts and feelings and am still sorting through them all. It's only been a month now so it's still very fresh! At first there...

Speaking of weird traditions like shaking hands, one thing I've never understood is the tradition of "blessing" someone when they sneeze. I understand where the tradition came from (medieval superstition about demons), but I don't get why people still do it. Why should there be an entire social int...

this all really comes down to figuring out what you want and going after it. If you're tryinh to pick up women in a bar or club for the sake of picking up a woman, than of course there is competition and the more masculine 'alpha' type males are going to win most of the time. Realize though that the...
