I have no problem with that. There is a difference between watching or participating in ball games, on the one hand, and certain cultural aspects and practices associated with certain sports.

There are perfectly understandable reasons why nonathletic students dislike and dread the traditional sports-centered approach to mandatory P.E.; but, unfortunately, way too many of those in the sports crowd don't care that this approach is clearly wrong.
