My friends have been trying a tight, heavy sleeping bag inside the bed and it's been apparently working.

This is overwhelming. Since the 2nd grade (he's in the 4th grade) I've been going to his teachers saying "Um, he's different ". And they do nothing. I talked to his kindergarten teacher (now moved to another school) who said"yes, I knew he had A.S." and has been a big emtional support. It's the week...

Ok, worse yet, I work for the school board, worser than that, I share an office space with the principal of Special Education. So I'm supposed to work on this professional level with them all, and I do. No "going over someone's head" type of thing and I haven't. That's why after the meeting with tea...

In August, my son was diagnosed with AS. In September I met with the Special Ed teacher (SERT) and his classroom teacher (RCT) to let them know, I thought they'd go "Oh, thanks for telling us. We know what to do now". Yes, I live in a dream world. Three months later, after my son brought home tests ...

So I printed off all of these lists and brought them into the school when we met with the Special Education teacher and the classroom teacher. I highlighted some that were most pertinent to my son, and then yesterday he came home with his IEP. For strengths it said: Math. For needs it said: proximit...

It's still growing on me. It gets kind of cheesy at times (this week's episode when Finn grabs both Quinn and Rachel's hands while singing) but the writing is very good. I love Jane Lynch (coach Sue Sylvester), her lines are fantastic. "I empower my Cheerios to be champions. Do they go to college? I...

Unfortunately, Zev is gone, and it was a very disappointing way to end their race. And he tried so hard and came in first, so sad. :(

Good point, you're right.

And I have to admit, the episode with Kristin Chenoweth was very good. I wasn't crazy about the song choice for the school assembly as being plausible, but whatever. :)

As for the emotional feeling, yes, it really hits you. I'm not sure why, maybe its the setting, but I do remember that. It was an answer I needed and had been looking for with respect to my son, but it was still really hard to hear. I hear 'ya sister. I had my suspicions and so did everyone else an...

I couldn't agree with you more, CrazyRob. One of the ones that always made me do a "WTF?" is at weddings. The bride and groom apparently are supposed to feed each other cake (I wouldn't know; hubby and I eloped to avoid the whole standing in front of a crowd scene) and yet I've seen on America's Fun...

My Aspie son doesn't like the term meltdown. He says "If I had a meltdown, I wouldn't be here any more would I? I'd be melted"

Sometimes this literal thing can be funny! :o

I think it's kind of stupid. I really had hoped I'd like it, I've seen it 3 times now and the people seem to be contrived and silly. Finn thinks he got his girlfriend pregnant, even though they've never had sex?? Please, writers, we're smarter than that (if you missed the episode, his girlfriend IS ...
