Crap. And here I thought that I had just found The Perfect Job for me. This is going to make me rethink my decision to leave my good paying job next fall to pursue that degree in actuarial studies. I get so giddy in math classes and I thought having a career as an actuary would bring on that same gi... |

For me, anger is the only emotion that I feel very strongly. My other emotions are pretty flat. I don’t get too happy or too sad, but I do get very angry and sometimes it’s nice to feel something. I imagine that when I get angry, I probably feel, physiologically, the way some NTs feel when they’re v... |

By makeup do you mean foundation? I can't stand the way that feels but I'm lucky to have an even skin tone so I don't really need it. I wear eye makeup to varying degrees and lip gloss which never lasts because my major constant stim is rubbing my lips together. It looks stupid but I do it without ... |

When I see other women yapping on their cell phones for hours it seem so foreign to me. I don't even own a cell! My husband says that he wouldn't trade me in for 10 of those women. Which is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Buwahahaha! I feel the same way about cell phones, as w... |

Thanks y'all. Zeichner, I think I feel the way you do about a diagnosis. It would be for me, for the most part. I wouldn't want to have to pull my Asperger's card at work, because I try to go along to get along, but it'd be nice to know it was there. I have to add, though, that my time in the milita... |

Someone suggested I post it in here to see if anyone had advice for me. __________________________________________________ I’ve gotten by in life so far by memorizing the rules (or etiquettes) in any new situation that I’m pl... |

Hi y’all, I’m Laura from Texas and for the last twenty-five or so years of my life, I have been accused of, been made fun of, and been ostracized by friends, family, and strangers alike for “not being right.” I’ve also spent the last twenty-five years hoping every night that I’ll wake up “normal” th... |

I was in the Army for a little over five years, and this before I had ever heard of Asperger’s Syndrome. I would say I had a 10% love for the Army, and a 90% hate for it. I loved learning a foreign language (Arabic) and I loved that I got to live in Europe for three years. The rest pretty much sucke... |
