Mine tended to vary widely. There were times when I did well, and others, not so well. There were often times I just didn't care because I didn't like school and when things changed at home, I didn't like homelife much either. There were times when I was on the honor roll every report card and other...

I am the youngest in my family and I have 4 older siblings. One brother, whom I don't see much, but for the most part, we don't fight much. I sometimes think he might be on the spectrum. I have another brother who treats me in a condescending manner just because he thinks he's better than me. He onc...

I think it was a puberty thing with me too. I could never understand why something I'd always taken for granted as a young child was suddenly becoming so tricky. I think young kids just get on with playing together without all the social niceties and the hype. My early "social life" was mostly one-...

There were a few girls who tried it on me, and I did start falling for it, but I figured it out before it went to far because I overheard them joking about what they were doing to me. There was the other time I got a secret admirer letter and a whole bunch of people claimed to know who it was, but w...

I've been told that too in the past, mostly when I was in my 20s. I think in some ways I was grown up and in some ways I wasn't. What I think the not grown up stuff came from was my anger about being denied things in my childhood I thought everyone else, or at least the rest of my family, was allowe...

There were parts of the world I hated as a child, but there were a few places I thought were safe too. I often took abuse from my older siblings, who would never treat me equally, always treated me like I was a big joke to the point where I finally decided I'd had enough, so I isolated myself from t...

When people say that conventional schooling is needed for socialization, I just want to scream. I went through multiple schools when I was growing up, both public and private, and the socialization I got in them wasn't much better than the gorilla cage at the zoo. I got tormented for such thing as h...

Never went to them either, and got tormented for not going, which made me not want to go even more because I wasn't going to be pushed around.

My older sister is about a year and a half older than I am, and I don't have, or want, much of a relationship with me. All my life, she treated me like a lower class citizen, always pushing me around, telling me to shut up, saying that everything I did, thought, and said was wrong just because it ca...

I'm sure not ALL College students behave like this but I'm curious WHY is it football, partying, drinking etc? I remember out with my older sister I saw a calendar (with Orange/blue face guy for the FL Gators) I said that's sad she said why "I said College should be about doing your work and getting ...

I'd never go to one, ever. I have no pleasant memories of school, as I was treated badly by all for a variety of reasons like being the wrong religion, having gone to the wrong elementary school, refusing to participate in a degrading and humiliating week of hazing rituals, and the list goes on. I w...

When I think something is unfair, I think it's because there are double standards at work, i.e. one rule for them, another for me. That has always been an annoyance in my life. Why others get to live freely and happily, and I do not.

Double standards are not fair.

My mother disowned me because I got married to someone she didn't approve of. She never likes it when anyonet gets married, it's like they're finding another family and dropping out of their own it seems. I'd like to disown my sister, because of the way she treated me practically from birth. She was...

Welcome. I was bullied by my family as well, yet never quite knew what I did that was so wrong. They never really said, they just picked on me and tried to force me to be a copy of my sister. I just wish they'd let me be me, and not tried to force me to spend all of my time with my sister, and I wou...
